50mg dextroamphetamine ER + 10mg Adderall a bad idea?

Yesterday I took 50mg of d-amphetamine and 10mg of Adderall. I took 40mg of Dex first, then about 3 hours later I took 10mg of Dex and 10mg of Adderall. I felt great all day and into the night. But I woke up this morning feeling like shit. My heart is racing non-stop and I just feel almost sickly. Is this normal? I've taken both before, not together though. And not that high of a dose. But I've never felt like this. I'm hoping either the effects will wear off soon, or it's not related and I'm just getting sick.

It's been about 26 hours since the first dose(40mg Dex)
And about 23 hours since the additional dose(10mg Dex+10mg Adderall)

This is my first post, so pardon my ignorance if this is in the wrong section of the forum or this type of post isn't allowed.

You can mix adderall and dextroamphetamine (dexedrine) since they're essentially the same thing. Adderall is made up of 3 quarters dextroamphetamine and a quarter of levoamphetamine.

When you your brain is flooded with dopamine, nausea, and sickness are normal. The fast heart rate is a result of excess noradrenergic stimulation. You basically took too much.

Drink some water, or take a benzodiazepine if you have one on hand. You didn't really push your 'safe threshold' of dosing far above what you said you can tolerate, so I wouldn't expect there to be any serious problems.

Also keep in mind that adderall, or specifically levoamphetamine is less polished than dextroamphetamine, and can have some unwanted peripheral side effects.

Alright, thank you. I usually get the fast heart rate, but not into the next day. I just wanted to make sure I didn't 'over do it.'

All is well now. It felt back to normal after about two days. Next time I dose with amphetamines, I'll remember not to take that much. Although, I don't plan on doing this regularly. Thanks again for the help.

For future reference I would take anywhere between 25-40mg next time. Depending on how much you ate that day.

do the math. Amp half-life ~ 9-12 hr
T-0:00 . 50 mg dextroamphetamine
T-11:00 25 mg
T-22:00 12,5 mg
T-26:00 - less than 8 mg

If hallife really made sense like that, but there's protein binding as well. Anyway, heart racing with 8 mg of d-amph ? I doubt it.

I missed the two 10's you took but it can't change the whole scenario.
