Stunning!!! 8o
Sounds like heaven, seedless <3

how about two more ohio-colorado sports connections. :D

in 2007, the cleveland indians (baseball) were up 3 game to 1 (7 game series) in the american league championship. had they won ONE more game out of 3, they'd have been in the world series which they hadn't been in since 1997 and hadn't won a world series championship since 1948. they choked hard and the boston redsox went on to the world series where they played the colorado rockies and swept them. had the indians played the rockies in the world series, the indians would have EASILY won their first world series championship since 1948, and that's a fact!

also, in the 2000-2001 high school basketball season... akron saint vincent saint mary's fighting irish was beaten by one team, oak hill academy, hailing from virginia who's star player and rival to St. V's lebron james (current cleveland cavalier) happened to be carmello anthony (current denver nugget). :)

colorado also has the most college educated people in it.

also one of those 'flipper' states this year - red to blue.

the DNC there last year was crazy shit...thought i was going to die, trying to score with all these riot squad police people everywhere.

My old roommate was from Green Bay so I know a few random things:

The *do* have amazing cheese. I always get Kaukauna cheese at the store. I never knew it was a town name before I met my roommate. Port wine is my favorite (I like the old tub design better but whatevs):

SERIOUSLY, look at that tasty deliciousness!!! :D

Also, people in Wisconsin call ATMs Tyme Machines. So yeah, it sounds like "lets go to the time machine" and all the while the non-Wisconsinite is thinking "wow, nutcase". They call them that because almost all the ATMs in the state use to be made by this company called Tyme. :D

For those of you who don't know the Green Bay Packers NFL team is the only publicly owned team which means Joe schmoes can own their own part of the team. :)

"Mad City" (Madison) is the Capital of Wisconsin, there are several lakes in town U can swim in. The University is there, it's a good party town, the arena draws pretty-good rock bands (at least they did when I was there) . . . they have a long pedestrian mall leading from the U to the Capital Building. It's a great place to spend the summer.

When I was in high school, the drinking age there was only 18 (for 3.2%-Beer only), so we often went there with fake ID's. Lotsa ppl from Chicago have summer homes there.

Dont forget bars! and i dont mean the drinking establishments, i mean all the confections that wisconsinites like to make in a pan and cut into squares. brownies and lemon bars are only the tip of the iceberg

Where sporks were invented ;)

Invented in the previous state, but Madison is where I'm at now. :)

Madison is the only city that's located on an isthmus, though most of the locals won't go swimming in the lakes here as they're usually not safe to swim in.

Madison is also the former home of Frank Lloyd Wright, lots of nice architecture around here. :)

America's largest water park, Noah's Ark is in Wisconsin Dells.

Lots of good beer and bars in the middle of nowhere, which also unfortunately means a big alcoholism problem. :\

Northern Wisconsin is absolutely gorgeous but there's not much there besides bars and supper clubs, still has some awesome places to camp during the summer though.

Door County is GORGEOUS

Milwaukee is the home of Summerfest, the world's largest music festival.

And OMG the CHEESE!!

horrible accents

That's more so in Northern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula in Michigan where they call water fountains bubblers. :p

I'm sure I'll think of more to add later =D
