50 mcg/h Fentanyl Questions...

I'm an opiate tolerant individual... (I can do about 120 oxycodone at a time and feel fine, great, but fine)...

I ran into 10 patches of fentanyl 50 mcg/h...

I've been reading a lot on them (I've had them for about a week now)...

and from what I've read, I'm very nervous to even try them, but I know people have had great experiences with them.

I'd like to approach them the safest way I can (besides not doing them haha)...

The brand is pricara... I opened one and they seem to not have any gel on them, at least not that I can see...

I have thought about cutting a very small piece off (like maybe the size of a paper hole puncher)... and putting it between my gums...

what do you all think?

thanks

Che

I'm debating whether to cut it into tiny strips... or to just apply it to my upper buttock (figured it's fatty and that's good?) IF it gets me too high by this evening, if I take it off, should I be fine?

first off, how did you "run into 10 fentanyl patches"? were they just lying on the ground and you found them? did you find them in a friend's house?

i wish i "ran into" potent narcotics like that...

secondly, fentanyl is dangerous as hell. its extremely easy to overdose on, these patches are made for very opiate tolerant people suffering from severe drug resistant pain. fentanyl is not like hydrocodone or oxycodone where you can take a bunch and be fine.

plus fentanyl is one of the most(if not the most) addictive opiates known to man, with some studies suggesting that it can be more addicive than heroin with physical dependence coming on faster and being more severe.

anyway: i just wanted to let you know what you are dealing with, and to answer your question the best way to do it imo is to take a small amount of the contents and use it buccal(between your gums) and wait for effects. if the small amount you used wasn't enough, slightly use more untill desired effects are acheived.

also you may cut small pieces off and ingest them which is how i first did it with good results.

however you do it, remember to be careful.

I have a friend (he's in his 50s) and he messed up his knee and had to have surgery... Unbelievably, 10 patches of 50 mcg/h were prescribed to him... I still don't understand it... I know this medicine is crazy strong and given to cancer patients or other people in severe pain...

how small of a piece should I try? so I shouldn't apply it to my arm or something? I should do it buccal?

thanks again man

i think the best way is to do it buccal to swallow a small piece. on how small of a piece, all i can really say is play it safe and start small. fentanyl is extremely potent, so great caution must be given.

i guess you could measure the patch, calculate how much fentanyl is in the patch and in a certain size piece, and dose small from what you came up with. i'd look into fentanyl dosing, so you know what would be in the safe area of dosing.

I've used the 50mcg/hour patches quite a few times, both back when my tolerance was lower and more recently.

Your tolerance sounds slightly higher than mine, so you should be fine with my method. Cut the patch into 5 strips, take one of those, apply it to your gums for a minute or so, then remove it. It comes on fast, usually within 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, if you aren't feeling it enough, apply it for another minute, then wait another 10, rinse repeat until you're where you want to be. You'll probably have to do this a few times, but stick to no more than a minute at a time until you can gauge how long you need to apply the strip. Fent can be used safely if you take care with the dosing, but it's not like oxy where you just crush the pill and do lines till you're nodding.

Just be careful, fentanyl is very sedating, the line between warm/nodding/passed out is fairly thin compared to oxy. And please keep track of how long the patch has been in your mouth and don't forget it's there, that's a recipe for disaster.

thanks for the help guys,

I put a strip in my mouth for about 30 seconds and wussed out... just was too scared... I might put on a patch tomorrow morning... wear it the right way and see what happens...

Only do what you're comfortable with, but if you do go through with it take the guy above ur posts advice. With your tolerance, you'll be fine doing his method. Fentanyl is indeed dangerous, but people overhype how dangerous it is a little bit. Again just use small amounts like the guy above you said, if you can handle 120 oxy, you can handle 1/5th of a patch in ur mouth for a minute.

The best advice I can tell you is to have a friend with you, thats always a good idea when using potent drugs.

but again, if you aren't comfortable with it, dont do it.

(ps: I accept fent patch donations) =D

Honestly, you're much safer doing it the way I suggested. Putting the patch on your skin, it's very hard to gauge how much of it is getting into your system. And because of the slow absorption, even after you remove the patch the drug is still seeping into your system for several hours, meaning you can take it off and still OD hours later.

Using your gums, you can quickly gauge how much of an effect the drug is having, then adjust your dose as necessary.

Of course, if you're in doubt, then the safest option is to not use the drug at all.
