This was not easy and i'm sure I am missing some and there is just some I haven't heard, some people obviously aren't going to agree. I tried to go on impact the albums had on me and then the impact they had on music and overall quality.
 
Wow, I'd struggle to compile a list like that. It's a good list... put personally I'd rate Metallica's Ride The Lightning or And Justice For All higher than Master Of Puppets. I'd also throw in some Iron Maiden albums too. Maybe Number Of The Beast, Dance Of Death, or Brave New World. Again, very hard to rank them!
 
Iron Maiden goes as one of those bands I never owned any cds from :( . Ride the Lightning and And Justice for All are both good, although if you listen to And Justice for All the bass is turned way down low, which to me makes it lack the full sound of Master of Puppets. It was the first album with a new bassist and I've read the other guys did that on purpose as they lost Cliff Burton right before the album.
