50 grand to stop doing drugs.

I think the best thing you could do is to stick to your guns and live your life honestly, by being true to who you are. Show her that it IS possible to use drugs responsibly by doing well in school, maintaining healthy interpersonal relationships and staying out of legal trouble. If you actually do those things, you'll be successful enough not to need anyone's bribe money in the next 5 to 10 years.

Contracts between family members about absurd promises involving big piles of money and long stretches of time are bound to be broken. Simply not worth the paper they're drawn up on.

how's she planning on making sure you don't do drugs, anyways? will she be screening random drug tests?

There are really only two options:

One, pull a massive troll. Hide your usage and stick to RCs and other little-known crap for five years, then take the $50,000, buy a bunch of useless shit, and give it all away at Burning Man. Spend the last of the money on crack and ask her to smoke it with you.

Two, tell her to fuck off.

Seems like the two right things to do...

that's ridiculous. i would just ignore her, because she probably wouldn't follow through.

I think you should offer your sister $50,000 to do drugs with you at least once every two weeks and tell her that you'll pay her in 5 years.

haha best answer

seems like your sis is telling you a load of shit to make you do what she wants...

manipulative for sure

Erm.... Take the money, and hide the drug useage? Seems pretty fucking simple to me.

- money deals between siblings? that stinks

- all the money in the world can't buy anything close to, for instance, a 5-MeO-DMT breakthrough

the later being infinitely more valuable than the former

My parents have me in vaguely similar situation. I went to inpatient treatment for 60 days in the winter/spring for heroin/opiate addiction and I've recently been using cannabis and psychedelics since I'm comfortable with that now. Of course they figured this out and now they want me to pay the remaining 1000 dollars to the treatment center, or quit using.

Even if I did pay, it would make me look like a fucking fiend. "Omg i want drugs so bad I'll pay a grand to do em!"

You should be fairly able to fob them off, right? Choose when's best to use? Should be easier to hide than an opiate habit...

Infact you could use the argument that psychedelics (well, acid at least) are reported to help to keep habitual use of other drugs at bay... ;)

^ lots more than just acid.

Unfortunately that approach doesn't work with established society's status quo (which parents are usually a part of).

Nearjat; I'd pay the grand, tell them they're not harmful or addictive like opiates, that they can go reading if they want, and leave it at that.

Make the point that psychedelics are not opiates, they're less harmful than alcohol and that you only use them once a month or something.
