Vegan, this is an awesome report, I agree with Xorkoth, the best 5-meo-DMT report I've ever read. One thing stuck out at me, I found interesting...quoted below...
In other words, the ego is just a perspective of your consciousness...so monks or ascetics who have 'lost their ego' have not lost some thing, but rather have stopped perceiving reality in a certain egocentric manner.
Certain chemicals, like 5-MeO-DMT happen to be very good at giving you a glimpse of that (although that question is up for debate, since the 'ego-less' state of ascetics may be different than the 'ego-less' state of the psychedelic user (on some level of course it is different).
Anyways, I've had similar experiences on 5-meo-DMT as you...it is pure love and light; the most spiritually profound substance I have ever ingested. In fact, your report has urged me to try it again (its been awhile since I started experimenting and extracting DMT).

My thoughts...what do you think your 'ego' is other than a subjective temporal state (ie 'using it' as you put it). There is no ego if it is not being experienced/used. The ego is not a substance it is more like an event (a neural event to be precise).vegan said:It sounds as ego death, but i have the sentiment that it's not being stripped of your ego as on ketamine as much as being just too overwhelmed by the sensation to have the slightest thought going on in your head. I have the feeling that my ego is still here somewhere, but that i'm too overpowered to make any sense of anything, to think anything, or even remember i can think. The 5-MeO-DMT may not strip me of my ego, but it sure strips me of any capacity to use it or recognize it.
