I am searching for more reports that corroborate Shulgin's observations that 5-MeO-DET induces vertigo. The one report on Erowid does not mention such an effect.

If corroborated, this would make 5-MeO-DET extremely useful in vestibular and auditory research, given revived interest in DiPT and its chemical cousins (2-Me-DET, 2-Me-DMT).

Best wishes, hope to hear from you all.

Even on BL, I doubt you're going to get a 1st hand report. It is easy to make, but the few reports out there don't really make it very attractive.

I did get to try 5-Meo-MET and tbh it wasn't great. I don't remember any vertigo but I was sitting down for most of it. I do remember feeling uncomfortable, dizzy, hot and taking my shirt off as well as my stomach instantly bloating. It did share the tactile aspect of 5-meo-dmt but I would rather just take that.

That's a shame. Although unpleasant, experience reports of 5-MeO-DET would be useful for vestibular research.
