5-HTP + L-Tryptophan et al: not having the desired effect

True * i mean taking fish oil for the omega 3 and decaf green tea for polyphenols
 
Yeah I take Cod Liver Oil daily, with Vitamin D tablets also. Green tea I like sometimes, but I heard it helps you lose weight (and I'm trying to bulk up atm, so I don't have it too often). I take Vitamin B complex too.
 
You caan dump all the amino acids you want into your body. your brain will do what it will. Its like loading a gun up with bullets. its only effective if theres a finger to pull the trigger. so perhaps your looking completely in the wrong area.

I think by the "finger to pull the trigger" he means exocytosis, even if the amino acids get metabolized to neurotransmitters and VMATed, they still will not necessarily be exocytosed!
 
I think he means you can give your brain all the flour and stuff it needs to make a ton of cake but it doesnt give a dam what you think ill toss it in the urine poop or fuel faster then you can funnel it inti you.
