Hi, on November 13th at about 3:00 AM I was feeling under the weather so I took 30 mL of Tylenol Cold & Flu Severe which contains 20 mg of Dextromethorphan. I've heard that DXM interacts somehow with the serontonin levels in the brain. I need to know when it will be safe to start taking these 200mg timed release 5-HTP pills that I bought yesterday without something going wrong. If it's revelant I also took one tablet of Claritin-D extended release on November 13th at around 5:00 PM. Thank You.

Both of these doses are so small, they will have no noticeable effects on Serotonin.
The 5-HTP could, in theory, increase Serotonin levels, especially in the presence of a Serotonin reuptake inhibitor like DXM - but, the DXM dose is small. The 5-HTP dose is a little bigger, but I doubt you will notice anything besides a small increase in mood and very minor dizziness. Keep in mind, however, that there is definitely a risk when doses are increased.

Don't think there's any serious effects at that dose, though if you're worried just wait a couple days.
