5-HTP and Tramadol.

Alright, my doctor just prescribed me Tramadol for my shoulder.
I've been taking 5-HTP for about two weeks now, and last I took it was last night at around 6am.
I also read that tramadol acts as a SSRI, and was wondering if I stopped taking 5-HTP (last dose was 6am) would it be a danger to take the tramadol today or would I be at risk of serotonin syndrome?

I know this is an older thread, but it jumped out at me. No offense at all to what you replied, Jay, but to the op, I would definetly wait a few days next time if you ever are prescribed tramadol again.

It won't take that long for his brain and body to break down the extra serotonin. His body went into overdrive breaking the extra down anyway. This extra is gone in about 24-48 hours...

You will most definitely know it is gone, you will feel the difference.
