Risperidone has been prescribed to me and I am wondering about it being an irreversible antagonist to the 5-HT7 receptor , Does this mean that after taking this pill for a short period now my receptor is totally and irreversibly changed forever? ( I believe this is for maintaining hallucinations )

Anyone know what the deal with this is?

Is there any way to reverse this?

It binds to the receptor permanently, but the receptor gets recycled eventually.

All in all, the effects eventually come to an end just like any drug.
