Opioids 4mg IV Dilaudid (hydromorphone) = How many mg IV Opana (oxymorphone)?

Hey guys, I usually IV 8mg at a time of dilaudid. Recently I got a hold of some old formulation opana. I'm planning on starting low to assess my tolerance to opana so i was wondering how many mg of oxymorphone IV would equate to 4mg of hydromorphone IV.

Im not qualified in the conversion or safety of you seek but 5mg at your own risk maybe?

Now that s out of the way... I have to ask, are you sure its an old formula name brand opana or is it one of the new generics that are made of old formula?
 
Hey everyone Im new to BL, so hello everyone.

The conversion for hydromorphone to oxymorphone is that 8mg of hydromorphone is equivalent to 5.33 mg of oxymorphone.
Oxymorphone is some potent stuff. So be careful with it and enjoy.
 
Yeah, I was going to say 8mg of Dilaudid is similar to 5mg of Opana. Be careful with Opana though, bro. I have seen a semi-tolerant user OD off of 10mg of Opana. We told him to only shoot half but insisted on the whole 10mg pink pill. Next thing we know, while trying to ask him for his military ID to get onto post, he is slumped over in the back seat unresponsive. Not only is this stuff potent, the withdrawals are the worst I've ever experienced. My DOC is Hydromorphone, but if I had access to Oxymorphone it would definitely by my DOC instead. Its got the awesome rush of Hydromorphone but with much longer legs.
 
CAREFUL, Oral Oxymorphone and IV Oxymorphone are two completely different animals! Don't even try and go beyond 5mg IV and thats about equal to 8mg of hydromorph...Oxymorph is really the queen of opioids if you ask me but its deceiving, people see the Oxy in it and think "Shit Oxy and Morphone?! I'm gonna shoot this shit!". The oral bioavailibility of Oxymorph and IV is like a gigantic difference, its bigger than Hydromorph and Heroin for sure so start real low even if you have experience.
 
I was definitely planning on starting low to assess tolerance. I was thinking about starting at 1-2mg oxymorphone iv. I'm scared of overdoses lol. I can always do more but i can't do less

True dat.

I think you have a good plan. Start at 2 and move up in 2mg increments. The conversions several people listed is correct, tho. Cross tolerance wasn't included though, so if youre at 8mg dilly, then 5mg is probably right up your alley. proceed at your own risk tho.
