Mr Dan Hardy
Greenlighter
Hello there
I begin on a new anti-psychotic (due to unrelated issues) next week called aripriprizole, by means of fortnightly depot injections.
For a long, long time (regarding drugs), I was pretty much a 1 woman man (amphetamines) in 'on and off' binge phases which progressively got worse and worse as I went from my late-teens / early 20`s to my late 30`s, at which time I began experimenting with valium and buprenorphine primarily which (due to good luck) I was able to get my hands on for a couple of years by means of friends and associates that were prescribed it, but were happy to sell me it anyway (in order for more heroin, I expect)
My previous 2 6 month phases on anti-psychotics have not been pleasurable experiences and during the first lot (during which I was on fortnightly risperidone injections) I wasted thousands and thousands of pounds trying to get off my head on amphetamine (an ounce a day, I was going through) for ages, not realizing that it was the fortnightly injections that were stopping it from working, by the time I`d figured it out and the last injection had worn off (8 weeks after the last one) the money was nigh on spent, the second phase was when I was in jail for 6 months and prescribed 400mg quetiapine each day, they say though that aripriprizole works differently, is used for major depressive illnesses (as well as schizophrenia and bipolar) and also, my PIP renewal form has just come through and it seems far more likely that I will get it renewed if I am seen to be doing the right thing and willingly taking aripriprizole depot injections to help deal with my illness, than I`m not taking what they prescribe me, which I have been doing for months.
Anyway I`m Daniel and this is just my way of introducing myself to the forums, as advised to in the welcome letter,
so hello all.....
