4-methylaminorex and methamphetamine differences

We recently acquired some meth, but am starting to think that it is actually 4-methylaminorex. The aesthetic structure is spot on with the descriptions that I've read. Can anyone tell me if there are cuts one could use for meth that can possibly make it look like 4-methylaminorex? Or is the stuff I got actually 4-methylaminorex? The high from it (smoking, as we usually do it) was much more subtle than usually experienced by meth (and we're experienced meth users). I found that I could go to sleep on it later if I tried, which isn't like meth from our experience. Also, how it looked in the bowl was quite different from crystal. It was almost cotton/threadish looking, rather than crystallish or glassy.
 
It's much harder to sleep on 4-MAR than meth. Could you perhaps have methcathinone? It can look much like you described and has much subtler effects than meth, including a much shorter duration.
 
it doesn't sound anything like "Ice" (4-mar) to me...it it was you feeling of it would be far superiour to meth...ecspecially if you use meth alot
my expierience with this substance have been nothing but good...more intense, longer lasting...but less of the strung out feelings...think of it like this...the last time I did it, I said," I feel great" more than "damn I am tweeked the fuck out"
I think that kinda explains the difference

Methamphetamine makes me very talkative and outgoing. 4-MAR does the opposite, I get silent and introverted. In a way, the 4-MAR experience is almost reminiscent of a trip because of how I analyze everything. It also has a very mild hallucinogenic effect.. there's a subtle but noticeable difference as to how everything looks, a slightly surreal quality.
4-MAR also felt more harsh on my body. Otherwise the two are indistiguishable and in a blind test between the two you probably wouldn't even know the difference.
As for methcathinone, I think that's very unlikely. It's almost 10 times less potent than meth. So you'd have to be smoking/snorting/eating significantly more and you'd probably assume the stuff had been cut to holy hell if you thought it was meth.

Funny, that is how I would describe the "shit" we got. 10 times less potent, adminstering significantly more. Also, the freebase form seemed very 'watered-down'. Melting point seemed much lower and more sensitive than what meth should be, it bubbled a little bit (we're not amateurs burning the shit either). The solid, crystal form seemed a bit odd as well; it did not break up into shards, it broke up into a more 'rockish' shape.
