Last night, I had a wonderful experience with 4-ACO-MiPT that I felt might be worth sharing.
This is my second time trying 4-ACO (I'm sure there's a short, cute name for it, but I don't know what it is), and this time was much better than the first. The first time, it took a long time to come up, and was a quite pleasant but unremarkable light ++.
T+0:00 (8:00 PM) Ingested 20-22mgs orally, in liquid suspension. My girlfriend ingested 15mgs.
T+0:20 I can feel the first alerts coming on, an extreme, speedy energy in my linbs, but no noticible change in heart rate. In addition, I get hot and cold flashes which continue throughout the trip, but are quite manageable. The stimulation continues to increase until...
T+0:45 I rocket up to a ++, with a definite stimulation. Unlike 2C-I, where I felt like my heart would pop out of my chest, this is speedy but it is all in my limbs and mind, with no panic from a racing heart. While I don't like stimulants in general, this was actually pleasant, if unfamiliar. I was talking quickly and my hands and feet were restless, but it felt OK to be like that; that I could either find something to do, or just revel in how the energy seemed to course through my body.
T+1:30 My girlfriend and I decide that the stimulation is getting a little irritating, so we smoke a bowl. This takes the edge off, and it's much easier now to relax and just ride with the trip.
This is visually intense, but not at all dark. Indeed, this is very malleable. I can unfocus my eyes and watch patterns form on carpet or wood grain (colors shift, take on depth, and faint horizontal bands of herringbone multicolored lines flit across), I can focus on my environment enough to read a little bit on the computer, or I can interact with my girlfriend, even if everything has a sort of "I'm on TV" feeling to it...just off natural.
How much is set and setting and how much is the chemical(s) is unclear, but we're finding our sense of humor to be greatly heightened. Everything becomes much funnier than usual, slipping in and out of easy laughter
T+3:30 (approx.) My girlfriend decides that she's feeling a little too speedy again, and wants to smoke some more weed...OK, twist my arm! This definitely mellows us both out to the point where we're quite content to listen to some music (Lucy on XM radio) and play with some glowsticks. For some reason, I don't have much desire to close my eyes and check out the CEVs, but I'm quite sure they'd be strong, as visual as this has become.
T+4:00 The physical aspects are too much to ignore now, so my girlfriend and I retire upstairs. The sex was very much all-encompassing and consuming (as I had experienced during my first experience). *This* was my first experience with the CEVs on this trip, which I'll try to describe below.
As everything was going on, I would see very colorful blocks appearing and rising in my field of "view," each block showing me a distinct aspect of what was going on around me. One block "showed" (although "represented" is probably a more accurate term) my girlfriend touching me, while another block showed me touching her, each a separate but interrelated experience. From there, as individual sensations came more to the foreground of my awareness, I would see purple and golden explosions of color, often in flower patterns, much like a fireworks display.
T+5:00 After a shower and a snack, it was time to go to bed, as we were starting to get tired, and we knew we needed to be up in about 8 hours. Another bowl to sleep on.
*That* was an interesting choice, as even though I physically felt as though I had come down and the open-eyed visuals were gone, I soon discovered that the 4-ACO-MiPT wasn't quite done with me yet. The CEVs as I tried to sleep were nearly as vivid and intense (again, pleasantly so) as they were before.
At first, I saw geometric patterns interweaving, floating forwards and back, which then began to coalesce into golden-and-white buildings that morphed, one into the next, into something like a history of man...Greek temples becoming castles becoming cathedrals becoming art-deco structures, with bird and human faces occasionally rising from the swirls, only to sink back again into the miasma of patterns.
After an hour or so of this, I was able to fall asleep, with just a slightly tired hangover the next morning.
All in all, this was one of the best psychadelic experiences I've had...nearly as visual as 2C-I (without the painfully speedy side effects), much more gentle and malleable than LSD (no dark spaces that I discovered, and very easy to take the trip wherever I wanted to go), all on a solid +++. This goes right to the top of my (admittedly short) list of psychadelics I have known and loved.
