(4-aco-dmt/20mg)1st time,Scenic Spot, Magical Experience. Warning: very detailed read

Sorry for the long read, but I really felt the need to include everything I experienced and convey to everyone what happened. The experience was so amazing, I also wanted to make sure I included as much detail as possible, for my own journalistic purposes so that I can remember this day for years to come. I hope you enjoy the read, and you may need to take some adderall to get through it lol.

My friend and I got up around 8:00 a.m. and headed to a very scenic spot in Florida, known as Ichetucknee Springs. After getting lost a few times, we finally made it to our location. We walked with our tubes to the launch point where there was a line with several people in it. I was a little anxious about how many people were present, but tried not to let it bother me too much. There were also 2 very attractive girls who were much younger than me; only 15 years of age. We made eye contact a few times but I didn’t think much of it. My friend and I got into tubes and embarked on what would be the most epic journey of our lives. We tied our tubes together with a rope with about 5 or 6 feet of slack so that we wouldn’t be floating all over the place.

The water was crystal clear and very cold due to it being a spring. It took a little getting used to, but it was fine after a few minutes of exposure. We were kind of a little nervous as to when we should take our capsules, since there would be waves of loud and obnoxious people every so often. We held back at several times to try and create a good distance between us and the next wave of people, although not with much luck. We basically decided it was either now or never, as our float down the river would take about 3 hours. I handed the bag containing the two capsules to my friend, and let him choose which one he wanted. I took the other one, and we each washed our dose down with a gulp of water from the springs.

We continued to float down the river, and were trying to consciously notice when the effects were starting to take place. Much of this was placebo, but my friend A finally said he started to feel nauseous. I told him it would pass, and was anticipating the nausea, although I was fortunate and didn’t experience that same sensation. As we continued our float down the river, we made contact again with the two attractive girls. They were being very loud, and using lots of profanity, and it was bugging my friend out. As I floated by one of the girls, I asked her calmly “Hey, would you mind not using so much profanity?” She agreed. I was glad because I thought the profanity would affect my trip and give me bad thoughts. She was still very loud, however, so I then asked her if she could tone down her voice. She asked me why I was talking so calmly. I called her over and said, “Hey, can you keep a secret?” She agreed, and I told her quietly that me and my friend were about to peak on mushrooms, as I didn’t feel like explaining the chemical name to her. “Cool,” she replied, with a somewhat look of repulsion and not much interest. I asked her nicely if she would make sure nothing happened to us, and she replied sternly, "I don't even know you guys." Her (T), and her other attractive friend (didn’t get her name during the trip, we’ll call her #2), continued past us. T had apparently gotten a flat float due to some of her friends jumping on it too roughly, and would have to swim the rest of the way down the 3-4 hour journey. A said she looked like a mermaid swimming in the water, and he even asked if she would tow us for a little of the way. I told T not to mind my friend, and she just continued to swim away, catching up with her friend who had floated farther ahead.

We continued our journey around the bend, and we could tell we were starting to peak. Every now and then we would get these “zaps” of high intensity, almost like a feeling similar to free falling. We encountered 2 Indian/Muslim people, who were stuck in some reeds/thick grass at the sides of the river. They were fully clothed, and looked ridiculous. They asked us if we could help them get out, and me and A tried to make our way over to them, but the slowly moving river was moving too fast for our peaking bodies, and we kind of just haphazardly floated by them while making a very weak effort to help them. We literally tried to tell them, “I’m sorry, but we physically can’t help you,” and they kind of looked at us with disgust. They were helpless, and almost pathetic in their attempts to get out of the reeds. One was padding the wrong way and pushing them farther into the reeds, and she was so incompetent she didn’t even notice. I sternly tried to guide them with my instructions and inform them of where they were going wrong, and saw them as pathetic, helpless human beings due to their incompetence.

As we continued down, the river widened slightly, and there was also much more room between the group ahead and behind us. T and #2 were slightly ahead of us, and they asked us our ages. A was 23 and I was 21, and they told us that they were 15. We made some small talk, but we were starting to trip moderately hard, so I didn’t try to pursue the conversation much further. They continued farther ahead, and this was when we approached a thick grass bed. As T and #2 passed us, I felt slightly sad that we lost their presence. I enjoyed their beauty, and wished I almost wasn’t tripping so that I could have maybe hooked up with one of them. We decided it would be best to stay here for a bit though in the grass bed, as the effects were starting to become pretty noticeable now. We looked up into the clouds, and there was an unnatural pattern of shapes with DMT-like effects. The sight was breathtaking. We also started to close our eyes and experience the wonderful closed-eyed visuals. The matter of detail that was produced was amazing. I saw trees, and a figure of myself wearing flip flops sitting in a chair, although I couldn’t see my face. There was so much going on, and if I had artistic talent I wish I could draw what was going through my mind. The colors that I experienced when I closed my eyes were also very fascinating. Everything was transferring from green, to red, to dark red, to purple, to yellow, and it was very amazing. I finally told my friend we should keep moving, so we did and continued our journey.

We then ran into what I called the “swamp people”. It was a very obese man who resembled a manatee and his wife with a snorkel. They were very obnoxious, and had on flip flops and boogie boards, as well as a lot of other mindless gear. If there was any way to describe the kind of red-neck, obnoxious Floridians, these people defined it. They were slightly annoying, because they kept popping up all over the place, and sometimes right next to us. My friend and I were laughing hysterically at me referring to them as “swamp people,” and were laughing extensively, almost uncontrollably, at their presence. The girl looked so weird with her mask squishing her lips up, and it really was a sight to see. We continued past them, although we made contact with these “swamp people” several other times. It was like we would pass them, and then all of a sudden they’d pop up near us again, splashing all over the place, almost like an annoying manatee (sans the splashing aspect). We also floated past the Indian people again, who were yet again stuck and helpless in some thick foliage. I made a comment about it to A and we laughed hysterically and uncontrollably as we floated past them. We couldn’t help it. We were in a state of bliss living in the moment enjoying the comical aspects of life.

As we continued to float down the river, I noticed that all of the leaves on the tree branches had eyes to them, and also all of the knots on the trees had eyes as well. It was like it was a bunch of mystical faces, and the best way to describe the way they looked would be to compare them to the face of the creature in the movie “Pan’s Labyrinth”, the one who helped the little girl and gave her the tasks to complete. The way all of the shrub-like plants and trees looked was captivating to me, and I continued to gaze at their beauty, while periodically closing my eyes to enjoy the CEV’s. I then passed another attractive girl who was rather young of age as well, and I closed my eyes and her face and figure appeared everywhere in my mind. I fantasized about her for a bit while closing my eyes, until reaching an underwater log with a huge fish about 4 feet long. The log was captivating for me, and I didn’t get to stop and observe it as much as I liked, but another individual on the river ensured me that there would be plenty of other logs ahead. I was satisfied with this statement, so continued on with our journey as we approached the first checkpoint.

This first check point was another launching spot, for whoever didn’t get up early enough to launch from the farther-up-river spot where me and my friend got in. We continued past it, until we reached the 2nd checkpoint. As we approached the second checkpoint, I noticed that the two attractive girls, T and #2, were waiting there out of the water. A lot of other people were getting out to grab food from their cars, or use the bathroom. My friend wandered off into the woods, as I noticed that the two girls were staring at me, and we again made eye contact several times. I got out of the water and set my tube aside. I stood next to them, and asked them mindless questions as to what the time was, how far we had gotten, etc. As they made small talk among themselves, I was staring at the tree next to us, and the moss on it was “breathing” and “morphing in and out, and all around. It was quite a sight. I then walked back down to my tube, as T called out to me and said that #2 thought I had pretty eyes. #2 was rather embarrassed, and I thanked them for the nice compliment. It really made me feel good inside, and reminded me of my younger years (16 or 17 years old) when I would hook up with random girls on family vacations. I wanted to be with them and hook up, but was afraid to act on the current situation due to them not being at least 16 years old, and I was also afraid as to how far I would take the situation, as my social cues might have been slightly off and didn’t want to find myself in a bad situation if you know what I mean. They said they thought I was cute, and I felt slightly disappointed that I couldn’t act on what would be such an easy situation. I longed for their innocence, and wished we had more time to spend together. They were like symbols of remembering what fun life can bring, and to possibly try and take advantage of more of everyday situations in life. It also showed me how weird girls are, and even though they act disinterested at first a lot of the time, they may actually really be into you. This was also something I missed of my younger days. Young girls are so “giggly” and “bubbly” when they see someone they have a crush on, and it made me realize I miss the way young girls would throw themselves at me if they were really interested. Nowadays, the girls I deal with are more complex, and they’re more distant and more hindered at showing you their true emotions and feelings. Life was very beautiful at this point of my trip, and I would have to say we were both peaking at this point.

After realizing that A had disappeared for quite some time, I asked the girls if they could watch my tubes. They gladly agreed, and I went off to find my friend. He was tripping pretty hard in the woods, and didn’t even know that we had more of the river to experience. I finally brought him back to our tubes, and we embarked again on our journey.

We approached a very big log in the middle of the river, and it was at this point that the string connecting on our tubes tore in half. I felt the need to stand on the log in the middle of the river, as I watched other individuals float by. I felt a sense of accomplishment standing there, being one with nature and just observing its beauty. It was breathtaking. I felt like a kid again at this point, and memories and emotions of my youth returned to me, and the experience was amazing. I could stand here forever, taking in everything around me, what had already happened, and what was yet to come. A and I got back in our tubes, and we did some swimming at this point. It was very fun and exciting. A floated further ahead, and I got back on my inner-tube and sat on it with my knees and elbows holding me above it to avoid contact with the cold water, kind of resembling a fetal position, and it required balance. I was captivated looking at the fish and underwater logs that I saw, and I remained in this position for quite some time. Other people probably thought I was insane, but it didn’t matter to me.

It was at this point of separating that A and I solo tripped, and it was like the string broke at the precisely right time for the right reason. We each got to go off and do our own thing. I was looking at nature and all its beauty as A floated ahead. It was nice to have some separation from each other, as it allowed us to more deeply explore our minds and think introspectively about life. I kept thinking of all the good times I’ve had when I was younger, and all the epicness that I’ve already experienced in life.

T and #2 finally appeared again next to me, and we made some more small talk. We approached another check point, and A and I reacquainted and tied our tubes together again. It was significant, because it was like we started the trip together, we then got to experience our trips solo for a little bit, and then we were back together again for the final stretch. It felt like we were on an adventure like Tom and Huck were. We continued to float past a variety of different people. Some of them were rednecks with masks, and they were very intently looking at the fish under the water and estimating their weight. They didn’t have tubes, almost as if it were beneath them and too mainstream for them. They had decided to swim the river instead. A and I laughed hysterically at them, and then we finally came back to the end point of the river. It had been about 5 hours now, and we experiencing the final stages of our trip. I was sad that we had lost contact with T and #2, although when we boarded the trolley to take us back to our vehicles, they were there waiting for us. We sat near them on the trolley, and again made small talk of where we were both from.

After arriving back to the main parking lot, we said our good-byes, and I asked them for their last names so that I could facebook them. They gladly told me, and I was happy because I feel like I had known them forever, and I felt a very significant emotional attachment to them. We said our final adieus, as I realized we would probably never see them again. It was like the remembrance of a long lost friend.

Conclusion: 4-aco-dmt was such a beautiful substance, and was so much more “forgiving” than acid, in the sense that other people’s conversations on the river didn’t have much of an influence on how our trip was going. If I had taken LSD, I probably wouldn’t have wanted to be around all of these people. At the end of the day, I could remember back to the different stages of the trip, and it really was like we experienced an epic journey, one analogous to your favorite adventure/travelling type move where you got from one place to the other, but at the end your sad it was over, but yet happy as to that you got to experience it, and can reflect on it in the future. I felt like I had lived a couple years of my life, as the memories of each stage of the trip were very significant in their own way. I still can’t fully convey the beauty and emotions that ran through my body as the trip happened, and this was possibly one of the best days I have experienced on this Earth. On the drive home, my friend and I couldn’t stop talking about how purely positive, amazing, and incredible the experience was. I will reflect on this day for many years, and am enthralled of the way the events unfolded during the trip.

edit: also forgot to mention the animals we encountered. dragonflies of mystical colors were landing on our hands, and we got to enjoy their beauty up close. we also saw a bunch of turtles, interesting looking spiders, and even a couple pf playing otters in the water! we also saw a bunch of birds, along with various species of fish. all of these which brought me joy and wondrous appreciation to God's beauty and creativity that has been placed here on this Earth for mankind to enjoy.

Thanks for the report. It was a delight to read. I've always wanted to trip during a journey through the style of water park you and your friend enjoyed. Your descriptions recalled for me the way people often appeared as demented cartoons I couldn't help but love to burst out laughing at as a tripping teenager.

Don't apologize for the length! I'm glad someone of the "search and scan" Google-bred coming-of-age generation still recognizes how much would be lost if they were to resign their trip reports to the kind of just-the-gist lists of bullet-pointed factoids many people seem to require these days to appease their malnourishingly short attention spans.

great report! And the river ride seems to be an ideal parable/analogy for the journey of life (*cough*, sorry for the overused words here), complete with all of the characters whom you meet along the way. Fantastically done good sir!

thank you both for the compliments. the experience was very majestic and you don't know how much your compliments mean to me.

I enjoyed reading your trip report man! :) Very enlightening read.

I wouldn't hook up with any 15 year olds though, especially if you're already 18 years old or older. ;)

I got a lot of appreciation for how your trip report read though, it had a really nice connection between your individual world and the exterior world as well.

4-aco-dmt sounds like a compound I definitely need to sample myself!

^^
yes i highly recommend it.

and actually, in the state of florida, as long as you're not over 26, and the girl is over 16, everything is A.O.K. lol.

wow, such a great read. Shrooms and 4-aco-dmt are definitely best experienced in places of profound natural beauty. I just looked up Ichetucknee Springs and wow, looks awesome.

Did the eyes on the tree not bug you out at all?

One time I did shrooms in a wildlife sanctuary and apart from the mosquitos, it was probably the most beautiful and amazing thing I have ever experienced.

this bit is the funniest thing, i could imagine the situation and its ridiculousness perfectly as though i was there tripping.

they must have thought you were taking the piss! haha

not at all, all of the eyes kind of characterized the trees, and it was like they were merely my friends who were watching us as we made our way down the river. the peak was so amazing, and i was seeing crazy, unnatural patterns wherever there was a change of colors in the leaves.

and yes, i recommend that everyone looks up some pictures of the springs so that you can get an idea of how beautiful the setting was.

haha ya it was so hilarious. they were on a slightly bigger double raft that had oars on it since they didn't want to get wet. one was paddling intensely in the wrong direction, pushing them farther into the grass bed. we ran into them several times, and it was like they would pass us, and then we'd be enjoying the CEV's and the nature, and then all of a sudden they would appear out of nowhere again, stuck in some other patch at the other side of the river. we couldn't help but laugh hysterically every time we saw them.

Excellent report and very descriptive. This is the type of report writing we like to see here at Bluelight :) Thanks for this entry and remember that it has been nominated for the Trip Report of the Month for June.

^^
thank you that means a lot. i'll add some dialect and a few other details i forgot to add as i remember them. i wrote it slightly tipsy last night, but wanted to make sure i got 99% of it done the day of the trip so that i wouldn't forget the main parts.

This is a great report!! I really love the narrative structure and attention to detail - it definitely gave me a great idea of how this substance makes you feel when you're experiencing it. This style is a lot more informative, in my opinion, than the skeletal structure many others tend to use. Very well done!

I haven't heard much about this substance, honestly, but reading your experience has inspired me to do add it to my research "to-do" list for sure! I hope to see many more trip reports from you in the future. :)

^^
ty that means a lot. ill see what i can do. hopefully in a few weeks ill be able to return to this location again

Have to agree with you there. The narrative was so clear and the trip report had a lot of character.

Anyways, if you like this you should try 4-ho-met, there are reports that it is equally, if not more magical than 4-aco-dmt, but don't hold me to that.

^^Yes I agree. I have seen some great reports about 4-ho-met. I think one of them was in the running for trip report of the month last month or the one before. Both substances sound magical.

^^
4-aco-dmt was so amazing, i can't even imagine how 4-ho-met might me. i'll have to do some research on that one too then.

I am trying out 25I-NBOMe in about 24 hours and I have high hopes for that one as well. Supposed to be the smoothest phen out there. I will write up a report when I have all the "info" I need.

^^
that's one i don't even recognize. sounds interesting tho. the only RC i've tried was the one i wrote the report about. haven't had luck figuring out how to find them. luckily my friend had some tho, as i was rather curious about 4-aco-dmt. i would say it puts acid to shame, as the experience was purely enjoyable. don't get me wrong i'll definitely try acid again, but it was harder to think on it. with 4-aco-dmt my thoughts were flying so smoothly.

edit: just looked it up. 16x the potency of 2c-i. dang that sounds intense. i don't know a whole lot about 2c-i, altho i was never too interested in trying it as i know a few people who used it a lot and have some severe hppd symptoms. wikipedia says that 25I-NBOMe is similar to bromo-dragonfly. it said that bromo-dragonfly has a long duration of action, up to several days! dang i can't even imaging tripping for several days lol.

good luck my friend, and gather up that data.

^^That's exactly why I have been preparing my mind for the experience for a few weeks. It has a shorter duration when taken in smaller amounts...it is active in the microgram range so proper steps had to be taken. I will be starting with an extremely low dose(even for this one) and seeing how things go. You can never be too careful with these things. I had to wait until my g/f is going out of town and I am not on call for work. All phones off, door deadbolted, safety zones created(nice little tent type of meditation thing I set up in corner of bedroom) and then I'm off.
