I planned on maybe tripping yesterday, but my gf couldn't stay overnight, so I threw that idea away, I was tired and my room was a mess anyways. So I decided to take 2 ambien and get some sleep, my sleep schedule has been awful for the past few months (some night shifts and late night call of duty over summer is the reason).

I first took 1, thinking they were 10mg. however after 25 minutes, I felt little to no effect, so i looked up the pill. Highlighted on the search engine was 5mg. I quickly popped the other pill. But 5 minutes later, I started to feel really heavy and sleepy, kind of relaxed too. I did another search, and confirmed it was really 10mg. Oh well, I thought, I'll definitely sleep now.

After having to use all my concentration to text msg, I decide to lay down with lights out. However, an uninhibited "voice" kept saying... cmon, let's trip! Why not? sounds like a great idea!

I take the 15mg pill (14-17mg) at 1am, actually dump the capsule on my tongue then go to bathroom for drink, inhaled a bit of it by accident as i drink water. *cough cough*. It doesn't cause further irritation.

I lie down and put on paul oakenfold creamfields. put on winamp visualizer (milkdrop). And start to drift off to sleep. But I don't quite get there. I start to think very irrational thoughts. What they were I don't totally remember, but just remember thinking "damn that was pretty weird to think that" or "damn that was irrational"... I would like, come to after thinking but during the strange thoughts it seemed real. I know at least one was on the lines of thinking I was at a farm , laying in hay with an animal, in a dark barn. In reality I was laying with an animal, but in my bed lol. I would snap out of these dreamy out of body modes and back to reality, however I never went to sleep.

I looked around the room and things were edgy and "ultra-real" looking but with a fuzzy coat. My hand looked skinny and long. My laserpod was interesting to watch, but the strange headspace was more interesting. I kept my eyes closed most of the time and drifted off into weird worlds, which I can't remember much of. The music repeated a few times but I didn't mind. Around 530 am i notice not feeling much anymore and plan to sleep, by moving my laptop and dog.

My dreams were as weird as the trip, with some very far out seemingly real journeys. I only remember split second bits though.

Thoughts/impression: I think the zolpidem added a dreamy quality to the trip and allowed some "travelling", but it also took away a lot. My mind was cloudy, and my memory of last night is very fragmented and nonchronological. Now, 13hrs later, I feel fine but just a little ambien hangover. I think next time I will try 18mg, since this 15mg seemed a little light, but its hard to tell, ambien surely dulled it somewhat (but made some interesting dreamy travel). I doubt I will ever try this combo again, unless spontaneously, through uninhibition by ambien. But I'm going to be staying away from ambien. It was a fun night, i'm sure, but I can only remember about 1% of a summary of it.
