Hey everyone, I am new here but have been researching for a while now. I have learned alot about these compounds, but there are some questions I would like to ask of those with personal experience with the compounds. First all how does the visual distortion compare in the 2 stated compounds. I have read alot of reports, but most simply say like LSD or mushrooms. I would like to know the slight differences in the visuals if possible. I have also read that people sometimes experience stimulation with them. Is it amphetamine like stimulation or more like the mild mental stimulation you get from lsd or mushrooms? I do not like for things to be speedy but I have never really thought lsd or mushrooms to be very stimulating anyways so I have always wondered this. How would 4-ho-met fit in there as well? 4-HO-DET is quite rare, and not so many people tried it. 4-AcO-DiPT is somewhat more available, but nowhere near as popular as other 4-substituted tryptamines. So there aren't many people who tried both, so you probably won't get many responses with comparison from personal experience.
But why are you interested in these two chemicals? It seems that you don't have a lot of experience with 4-substituted tryptamines, so maybe it is better idea to try 4-AcO-DMT, 4-HO/4-AcO-MET, 4-HO/4-AcO-MiPT?
My experience with 4-substituted tryptamines is quite limited(4-HO-MET, 4-AcO-DMT and 4-MeO-MiPT, although the last one isn't really related to this topic). So what follows is extrapolation from my own experience and reading other people reports. It seems that 4-HO-DET is more similar to shrooms, it is more "regular" psychedelic, while 4-AcO-DiPT has aphrodisiac properties and quite easy on the mind. In terms of visuals, 4-HO-DET > 4-AcO-DiPT. Both shouldn't give you amphetamine-like stimulation, however there is possibility of bodyload, especially in case of 4-AcO-DiPT.
I also suggest you visiting PD drug index and reading B&D threads on both chemicals.

4-aco-det has very strong, distinct visuals which I have not encountered in other 4-subs. The headspace is stimulating and lucid. It never felt manic or mystical like 4-ho-dmt/4-po-dmt and 4-ho-mipt can do. I never felt any body energy with this compound, but I know others have reported this. Duration is also quite short with this compound: (2-3h) in my case.
4-aco-dipt has a very pronounced body energy to it. some find this disturbing or unpleasant, for me it is a unique, key property to this substance, and can be utilized in different ways. It also puts me in a great and good humoured mindstate in which thoughts and ideas flow easily. Music and appreciation for rythm is also greatly enhanced. Duration: (1-2.5h)

I wouldn't recommend 4-HO-DET. I still have 50 mgs left, trying to trade for something worth my time, like MXE.
4-HO-DET had unique visuals. It wasn't melty or fluid-like as it is on mushrooms or acid. The visuals were very stiff and not too colorful.
Very rigid visuals. The patterns didn't flow into each other like most of my other trips, they just appeared, and faded, appeared, and faded, etc...
It was also very emotionally void, which was a major bummer for me, because one of the reasons I do psychedelics is to have a spiritual experience or to be enlightened; this chem didn't do either.
Just boring visuals and a headspace that felt like a combination of being really tired and coming down off of some strong chronic pot. I just felt really out of it for the first hour of the trip, then the headspace developed into a very clear-headed mind state.
Altogether, not a worthwhile chemical, IMO.

Wow thanks for all the information! Looks like I have more research to do than lol. I was interested in those 2 just because they sound interesting and I have access to them atm. I also have access to 2cp but am unsure of whether I will try that one or not as I really dislike stimulating substances and have heard that one is stimulating. I will definitely read up before making my decision and will let everyone know how it goes. I do enjoy acid, but mushrooms are my favorite so something similar would be nice. Id like to get my feet wet with something familiar before venturing to far out into the void lol. Anyways thanks again for all the input guys!

Very long stimulating (I can't sleep about 14 houres after it stopped working), raises temperature of the body to 38.5. When injected i.m it also induced very light convulsions.
