Officials say an 8-year-old girl gave a teacher a small amount of marijuana that she had brought from home.

The Lincoln Park Elementary School teacher reported the incident to her principal on Tuesday afternoon. The principal called the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

According to reports, the child took the marijuana from her jacket pocket and told the teacher "this is some of my mom's weed."

Parents need to be very careful where they hide their drugs. They also gotta watch that they dont leave any drugs laying around the house, especially with kids in the home. I know how kids can be, I use to be one & I remember finding my fathers handgun when I was 8 years old & seeing the bullets lay beside the gun. Thank God I didnt do anything stupid.
 
What kind of parent is so careless that their kid can just get it, take it with them to school and then not know any better than to give it to the teacher?

This is pretty careless parenting.
 
^ I found my mother's vibrator when I was 8 because I went through all her stuff one day when she wasn't home. The mother may of had the stuff hidden very well and the kid just found it, ya never know.

made me laugh hahaha, and you're right. Its been a while since I remembered how much I use to get in to. When I was about 3, I led my mother on a chase down a beach for 2 miles.
 
There's nothing inherently wrong with a 'parent' that responsibly uses marijuana, but the parent/parents should NEVER let their kids see or know that they use marijuana, for 2 simple reasons:
1.) The Law - Ganja is illegal
2.) B/c your a parent and shouldn't be smoking weed around kids, or even let them know u use. this way they can make up their owns minds for themselves after the age of 18. I don't think anyone under the age of 18 should ever smoke marijuana unless for REAL medical reason..
 
i used to find my moms joints when i was young and i got mad and kept them and had a big bag of them i was gonna tell on her haha ...i ended up smokin them all a few years later when i found out how much i loved weed i had a nice stash by then....100s of roachs and quite a few Js ..she always had pre rolled joints layin around ..weird...she musta used to get baked..
