3mg of Xanax + half a glass of wine = puking all day?

Okay so as the title says I combined these two things. I know it's bad practice to drink while on benzos but I've done it with klonopin multiple times (and at higher amounts than in this instance) and never suffered anything worse than a momentary blackout. I've thrown up about 10 times and been in bed literally all day. Is there something I'm missing here? Is there like an increased risk with xanax? Did I just happen to get food poisoning around the same time?

Either it was the wine or you are sensitive to alcohol's nausea. Xanax and Alcohol also both act on GABA receptors so it potentiates each-other.

Don't worry, I've seen one of my friends take a sparkling wine bottle out of his deep freezer once and god alone knows how long it was there. Anyway I had a drink or 2 from it but he necked and ungodly amount n puked. If your vomiting persists see a doctor. But benzos don't usually make me puke on alcohol as I drink less.

Yes, drinking makes Xanax stronger. I agree that it must have been what you drank or how much you did.
