Hello. I am just curious if this would be a dangerous outcome and what the risks of serotonin syndrome from this would be? Basically several years ago I was prescribed all of these drugs by the same psychiatrist (so he was aware of the combination) daily. I cannot remember if it was 20mg of Celexa or 40mg of Celexa. I stopped taking all but the amps a few years ago. I was reading about serotonin syndrome tonight (something that I've always been aware of but would only ever think about when I'd realize I'd hit the third plateau of DXM)
I have very little faith in doctors knowledge of drugs and always have (and still do) consider my psychiatrist more knowledgeable than the average Joe. I also like how he does not ever speak with pharmaceutical company representatives. We even discuss the implications and the effects of these reps on the drug system, as well as his experience years and years ago and why he stopped listening to them, not to mention his observation of bias in his colleagues. He does not hate the medical system and is not cynical, and obviously he is not without his own bias. However, he does not prescribe Adderall to children UNLESS they have tried all other forms as he believes it causes agitation and more problems than it solves.
Basically, I think most doctors and psychiatrists are uninformed egotistical pawns when it comes to psychiatric drugs. And I've always considered my psychiatrist to be less of a pawn, which is a compliment even if it does not sound like one. But it just hit me this seems like a bad drug cocktail as is not to mention serotonin syndrome in a young (15-16? maybe up to 17?) aged girl, especially considering the fact I had a fucking bad eating disorder (funnily enough it kicked in when I got put on Wellbutrin in the 8th grade after doctors telling my parents I would be locked in a ward if I didn't, but I bet those bastards were lying seeing as they let me go and a third party tried to drug me. Thankfully I flat out refused the Seraquil in 8th grade and the original antidepressant, and only agreed to take Wellbutrin after some googling saying it caused weightloss which I needed after a depressed daily icecream and chipotle habit xD) but hey, it's not like I ever mentioned I stopped getting my periods.
Was he irresponsible in the combination and dosage?
