Likewise PinkP,I was a right metalhead when I was younger.
Went to a few hip-hop gigs in the 1980's but metal was where my heart was.
I didn't like rave music until I took my first E and then I could see why people liked the music so much, it really does go well with Ecstasy.

I kinda know what you mean about people spending more time sat at home taking drugs compared to the time of our yoofdom, but I have to disagree somewhat. Plenty peeps still go out and "'ave it large" of a weekend - our very own Ms Dragon up there being an obvious example, but there's loads of folk who do. It's just that they only post here when sat at home taking drugs when they're not out doing similar in more social environs. Although it wouldn't come as a complete shock if folk started posting on their phones, on drugs, whilst at raves. Kiddies today, eh? 8)

I often moan about EADD not being half as much fun - especially in the evenings - as it used to be, but ultimately have to agree with our Beloved Leader (well, alisdairm anyway) quotes when such bitching arises: Be the change you want to see.

Hope you're not actually going cos I do <3's me a Brimz post and I'll miss me Bath-based breadbin :!

(although you do know i'm planning to move down your neck of the woods this year if possible dontcha? you will, of course, be expected to show me how it's done ;))

lol, it's really not a great state of affairs when I'm used as an example of 'avin' it large. But cheers. =D

(Though I do feel if you're inclined and capable of posting on a forum when out, you're not taking raving seriously enough. Kids today, eh?)

I was out n about in 88 dropping white calis at 20 quid a pop- never took more than 4 pills till i stopped ravin for a few years in 94 (goig thro doves,xxx,new yorkers,yellow calis,burgers etc etc) proper pills with that empathy feeling that all the pills since then seem to lack - not that ive dropped any for years now.
@Brimz did/have you ever come across a fella called Arni? 'the oldest raver in town' i knew him from glastonbury when i lived there but he moved to brizzle in the 90's i gave him his 1st pill and he never stopped was out everyy w/e for years nn years - maybe still is?

mate i come across thousands a cunts so probably whop was he down wiv , never liked glastonbury tbh shit hole . On that Devotion clip a guy called jason who i used to be always at the dsame place he in oz know . Also when the Mc says "Justin n crew comin in " thats us got a pic of him on ,me wall @ Digggers his twin brother lost it .

I think the board has taken this pretty well, considering it more or less translates as:

I take drugs because I'm part of the rave scene, probably been to way more raves than anyone else. The rest of you muppets just sit at home taking drugs to occupy your miserable lives and I don't want to associate myself with such people any more. So I'm leaving. Also, I probably earn more money than you... and just for your information, my sex life is pretty damn amazing on top of that. But I'm putting this in white text as I'm aware I'm starting to cross the line here, but still want to mention it.

Though his attitude is a bit sour, I genuinely like Brimz and actually wonder if something is bothering him to make him come out with this negativity towards others? Anyway, I won't continue coz I know the real reason for this thread is not a chance to psychoanalyze Brimz, but to come out with some oldskool youtube embedded videos.

The most humble person in the world. Absolutely no claim to being a hero... or no attempt to hide what misfortune hits him. I could try a motivational speech about stop wasting your time on here taking drugs, but look for some kind of voluntary work and that if you can be decent + loved in attitude on a forum, you could probably pull it off IRL also and make many relationships yadda yadda yadda... but you don't wanna hear about it and I don't wanna miss out on all you amusing/insightful drugged up posts which keep me occupied late at night, so we'll leave it here.

I fucking love drugs also (and have done since I stumbled into them many moons ago. Yes the days of a 5£of phet and half a pill and dancing in some field are long gone but my enjoyment is still there.

The new generation is what we were 20 years ago? Eager to explore - willing to take a risk etc. Yes the new drugs are IMHO pretty dangerous but wasn't that the same with the parents in the 80's / 90's (my child is doing 'Ecstasy' etc - there was no long tern studies as it was a somewhat 'research chemical'.

The drugs have changed, the way they are taken has changed, the way they are perceived has changed as they are almost mainstream now.

I did voluntary work for years, Raas. The place I was at got closed down though and what's left as far as voluntary work goes is basically going to visit auld folk or accompanying Rainbow Coach folk whilst they do their shopping. Somehow I doubt a blistering social life is likely to stem from that...

Oh it's not self-pity at all - just basic statement of fact is all. Been to a few quality free parties up in the hills around and about the place but they fizzled out a few years ago (or I stopped hearing about 'em, maybe) so it's just a case of precious few options locally. Bear in mind I do live in the arse end of nowhere and don't have transport so getting out and about just ain't all that easy. As I said, if this move of mine works out I'm sure we'll get to go out and play sometime ;)
