Stimulants 3,4-Diphenylpiperidines

I found a powerful psychostimulant/antidepressant recently. I only found this from an extensive literature search. It is not present in any of the books or reviews online.

The lactam showed in the picture is supposed to be the most powerful agent out of the ones that are tested in the article.

Shame I can't read french but looks like a pretty dope compound. Interesting the starting material is pure diastereomer and involves cyclization utilizing cyano ester.
