Would a second dosage of LSD still be effective if taken approx 12 hours after first dose?

No. At least, not very much: your body builds a tolerance to LSD within hours of your first dose, and it takes a few days to return to normal.

You should wait at least a couple days before taking any more. I used to think it would be ok if I just got a good night's sleep between but found it frustrating when I didn't get a buzz.

The general rule is leave a week between LSD trips for tolerance to return to baseline. But you can still get effects by increasing the dose
