To cooperate with work and not be a dead piece of meat every day, I decided to stay up for 28 hours plus to do a sleep schedule reset. However, I always have this problem where I stay up and I sleep but then I wake up and might stay up for 1 - 3 hours, then go back to sleep (Not achieving what I want).

Was wondering if you guys think 2mg of Clonazepam would be overkill if I were to go to sleep at 8PM? By then I will be dead tired, already happened once today, where you literally have to doze off for at least 20 minutes..

At this point of my day, I'm getting slight hallucinations, since I did this randomly... =/

Thanks!

That depends on whether you're benzo tolerant. Lets assume you're NOT, well, most here would say it was. They would say to start with just 1mg.

I say that you need to keep in mind that clonazepam has a very slow onset(taking 2-3 hours to reach full effect in most people) and also the longest duration of the most common benzodiazepines. It also tends to be one of the least sedating benzo's.

These properties make it less desirable as a sleep aid, but if you've been up 28 hours, 2mg should certainly put you to sleep.

But since your already sleep deprived, maybe 1mg would be better? Clonazepam is very potent.

Yea, I am tolerant, very tolerant =P. I take 1mg - 2mg when I can/when needed to get through the day.

It's my favorite benzo, good sleep... xanax gives me rough sleep.

Thanks though, gave me a better idea. I have a lot of experience, especially with clonazepam but I was curious as to how it would effect my sleep duration. I got a good idea though. I'll just take 1mg and save the 2mg for work and other stuff. [3mg total right now. got lucky today. can't waaait til next month]

Ever tried triazolam? It's for insomnia and it helps me more than other benzos. I was prescribed it forever and ever. Worth a try. Sleep reset should help though and try to work on sleep habits-- going to sleep at the same time each night. I used to have chronic insomnia, like 6 days and my body would start to shut down, and this was a miracle drug.

Actually I love clonazepam too, it is my favorite benzo for chronic use(alprazolam better for acute) and I agree, for me it is great for sleep, as it helps me stay asleep. But I have insomnia, so I struggle with getting to sleep too, but clonazepam+ opioids(which I take every day) and sleep isn't much of a problem ?

I've wanted to get my hands on this for a long time.

I believe it's banned in the US...If not, how can I obtain this legally?

BY the way, sleep was fucked up. I took em and I woke the fuck up while I was watching Requiem for a dream [first time]. THat fuckin movie defines everything, got into it hardcore. But then I passed out and woke up a lot during the night [grr].

Benzo's aren't really a good choice for this since they screw with your sleep patterns by suppressing REM sleep. Have you tried melatonin?
I was going to, however, I still haven't gotten to it... I still plan on picking it up from the store =P.

No offense, but melatonin has never been proven effective, and it doesn't help me whatsoever.

It is true that benzo's cause a lower quality of sleep, which, among other reasons is why you are not supposed to use them long term. In the short term, however, they are extremely effective and safe. And ultimately, a lesser quality sleep is better than no sleep at all.
