2c-xs vs. DOxs

Hello Bluelight, first post, long-time lurker. Was wondering if some of you could clear something up for me:

For years I've been intrigued by shulgin's DOx family. I've never seen these in the wild, never had a chance to sample. With that said - I have had a chance to be acquainted with most of the common 2-cx's. My question is this: How different are the DOx's from the 2-Cx's. Would 2-CD be a good approximation / general feel for the effects of DOM? What about 2-CI / DOI, etc.? Is it still worth spending the time and effort to try to track down the DOx's or are the 2-carbon similar enough to the DOxs (I realize there is significant discrepancy between durations) that I'm not really missing anything?
 
where i'm coming from: i've done 2C-E, 2C-P, 2C-I, 2C-T-7, 2C-T-21, DOI, and DOC. so the only DOx/2C pair i've done both of is 2C-I and DOI.

2C-I and DOI are similar in effect, but then so are most of those other chemicals i named. to me, DOI isn't any more similar to 2C-I than it is similar to 2C-P. DOI is much intellectually deeper than 2C-I. my thoughts are more profound and i dig into my psyche a lot more. 2C-I was more visual to me. 2C-I was also more jittery/overly-stimulating. over all, i would say DOI is a much more enjoyable/useful chemical, but I'd still take 2C-I once in awhile if i had both, for many reasons.

i have heard that 2C-B/DOB are even more dissimilar than 2C-I/DOI. i have heard that 2C-C/DOC have more features in common than other 2C/DOx pairs. i have heard that DOM is the best of all the DOx's, and that it is many orders of magnitude deeper than 2C-D. this is all hearsay though. in all, i would say that every drug is potentially very unique, despite structural similarities.
 
I would expect the DOX series to be a lot more stimulating... interesting that you found DOI to be less stimulating than 2C-I...

I'm really wanting to try DOM - and have the opportunity... but amphetamine stimulation and I don't get along so I've never touched a DOX.
 
DOI is very fun ! Unless for the bodyload which can be awful sometimes.... Easy to pass through !

But my favorite DOx is DOI followed by DOM :)
Well for the 2C-X, the 2c-c and 2c-e are very great for visual and the bodyload is not so bad aswell :D

Both good substances !
 
Well i only tried 2C-I once but i don't like the bodyload at all ! DOI for me is nicier than 2C-I ! The bodyload of DOM is less stimulating than DOI but also fun :)

Really if you wanna try DOI try with 0,6mg first to see if you can handle the bodyload ! But don't worry it's not hell like we can imagine :)

well 2C-I is by far the most stimulating of the 2Cs that i've tried. i suspect that the other DOx's will be more stimulating than their 2C counterpart. DOI was more stimulating than DOC was, however.

agreed on this part. 2C-I's bodyload is worse than DOI's at dosages that produce comparable psychedelic effects.
 
if DOM is less stimulating than DOI and DOI is less stimulating than 2C-I, which I've done and didn't like... then I may just be trying DOM soon.

I mean, I liked 2C-D so...
 
Yep but i will chose DOI if i were you :)
DOM is more mindfuck for me, when DOI give me clear thoughts and more controlable than the DOM chem.
Seriously don't worry about the DOI bodyload i'm only 93lbs (40-45kg) and i can handle 4mg of DOI without any problem :)

Trust me ! ;) So try first with 0,6mg (it will be active dw :D ) and see how to bodyload reacts to you :) If all good, then go with 1,5mg !
 
keep in mind that DOM might be more stimulating than 2C-I in you, i was just saying what i experienced. i like psychedelic stimulation though, so long as you have something to do. playing guitar and fucking around with different effects while tripping on a stimulating psychedelic is really awesome for me. i bet you could find an activity that would be similarly awesome for you in the same situation.

and hoffmannblotter, how can you say that DOI doesn't affect you badly? you had a seizure on it a few months ago.

Yes it was a kind of seizure or a black out don't really know, but since the "accident" i didn't experiment it at all :) It's all set & settings
