Ok I imagine people are getting tired and concerned about the recent surge in 2c-t-7 posts this week. I'll try and keep this as brief as possible.
After hearing about 2c-t-7 and reading tidbits about it here and there over the past year I'm now beginning to do some heavy research into it and plan on using it before it becomes scheduled. From reading it is apparent that this is a drug to be taken serioulsy and respected.
I've read much of the information on Erowid. I found Murple's paper to be one of the most enlightening and comprehensive paper's i've ever seen on any drug, so mad props to Murple for all the time spent of that.
Now the questions:
I realize there has been a lack of research on the short term and long term effects of 2c-t-7 and that much of what we think happens is extrapolated from Mescaline as they are somewhat similiar in nature (from Murple). I also read about varying blood sugar levels as a possible effect. However, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the possible neurotoxicity of 2c-t-7. Alot of people reported they had some varying degree of MDMA feelings while on the drug. Would this mean that it could possibliy be a seratonin(sp?) releasor such as MDMA is and thus share neurotoxic capabilities of MDMA. Meaning that useage should be moderated similiar to that of MDMA. I'm just guessing here. Murple's report cited a lot of people having a similiar MDMA or LSD "hangover" or feeling the next day. So i'm guessing that there is some neurotoxicity with the drug???
One more question (not a source question) when ordering 2c-t-7 online i was curious to what quanities it normally sold in (ie by the gram or 100mg etc) or is it just dependent on what site? Thanks for any input in advance..

I don't know anymore than anyone else on how T7 affects the brain so I really cant help you with that, but I can tell you that most suppliers sell in 250mg, 500mg, 1g, 5g and a couple sell 10g at a time I do believe.

I am on the same quest, same question (neurotoxicity). I haven't been able to find anything on this at all. If you find any shred of info out there, would you post it here?
I have emailed Alexander Shulgin himself, we'll see if he answers.

No one can tell you about the long-term effects, as research on T-7 has not been going on long ... there are studies underway, but only time will tell...
From what I have seen/read/heard, the occasional use isn't going to hurt you - but be carefull!

Are there really studies underway PhreeX? I wasn't aware that there were enough long-term users for that to even be possible. Do you think you could describe some of these studies? My curiosity is piqued...

There is at least one study going on into the effects of 2-ct-2/7. Somebody posted about it some months ago. Unfortunately the search is disabled - but if I get a spare half hour this afternoon I'll trail though the Other Drugs archive and look for it - because it had a link as well.

Everybody asks yer name
they say you're all the same
so now it's nice one, Geezer
and that's as far as the conversation went

Shit, with the publicity thats going on about it, you can bet that a number of parties are doing some serious research - I am sure NIDA dumped a ton of money into the project.. I remember someone talking about a specific study, but was not really interested enough to bookmark the details..
