Hello Blulight Im new here.

swim has aquired some 2cp from a vendor and is very eager to try some now but swim doesn't have a scale. swim bought 250mg and is wondering if he should trust that the vendor gave swim exactly 250mg. if so should swim use distiled water or is tap okay?

thank you!

Quite simply, NO, do not trust that they gave you exactly 250mg, furthermore, do not assume that it is 2C-P, take a test dose (1-2mg) just to make sure its not something like DOB or Bromo-DragonFLY.

Perhaps you could borrow a friend's scale? even a less accurate scale is better than having no idea at all. its not worth potentially taking too big of a dose, especially with 2C-P where you will probably be tripping upwards of at least 12 hours.

Tap water is ok, but distilled would be better

Hey, welcome to Bluelight & PD! First of all, we don't use acronyms like SWIM here. It offers no legal protection & makes posts difficult/annoying to read. Check out the PD rules in the index linked in my signature & the BLUA on bluelight's homepage when you get a chance.

As for your question, buy a scale, you can get a cheap one on ebay or elsewhere on the web for <$50. There's no way of knowing what amount you were sent otherwise. I've personally been experimenting with 2c-p lately and 1 or 2 mg can make a pronounced difference, so it pays to be accurate. Lastly, a combination of distilled water & alcohol is preferable, especially if you're going to be storing it for a while, and 250mg of 2c-p should last quite some time. Hope this info helps, and welcome again!

mackey is right for the most part. don't assume that that's 250mg, sometimes vendors have shitty scales or they're careless about things because let's face it, what are you going to do? sue them because they ripped you off on an illegal compound?

now, I disagree with mackey in that is may be DOB, because depending on where you got it, they probably don't have a bunch of DOB laying around. thought you do have to make sure your source is a good one. also since you're new here I'll remind you: don't post the source. also please don't use swim here. it's kinda annoying.

lastly, 250mg = ~25 doses depending on your preference. you're not gonna go through all that very fast so don't put it in tap water. use distilled or alchohol

also Welcome to Bluelight

oh sorry, i dont have the money for a scale. i got a .01 gram scale is this will work for measuring it?

A .01 gram scale is a lot better than nothing. It's not ideal for weighing out only 250mg, but it should be good enough to let you know if you have a radically different amount (like 500mg). From there, I would use vodka or a mix of some high proof alcohol and distilled water. The alcohol keeps your solution sterile so you can store it at room temperature for long periods of time without worrying about mold/bacteria/etc. 2Cs are very stable, so you can mix up a solution and store it for years without any problems as long as your solution has enough alcohol to keep it sterile. Vodka works well for this purpose - it doesn't have too strong of a taste besides the taste of alcohol itself, and it's usually 80 proof which is more than enough to keep the solution sterile. You can get away with 50/50 vodka/distilled water but I don't really see the point, unless you want to make a very low concentration solution and want to cut down on the amount of alcohol you have to drink to get a dose. 2C-P is so potent, though, that I can't really see that being an issue - even if you dissolve it at 1mg/mL and use straight vodka, a 10mg dose would still be less than a quarter of a shot worth of booze.

well if your scale is a trip beam then you're good to go I would say, me and a friend were just talking about this too. using a trip beam would easily give you a reading that's accurate to AT LEAST +/- .01g so now if it reads 250mg you know that you have either 240-260 which when you dilute it makes your hits accurate to about 1 mg

you're definitely better off at the very least measuring it with a .01g scale to see if its close to 250mg, like everyone else said.

however, if you can't find a scale, you should be fine titrating up from a low dose via liquid measurement.

so, assuming you're aiming for a 1mg/1ml solution... you'd use 250ml of vodka. now, say they actually gave you 500mg. if you start with 1ml of solution, that would be 2mg instead of 1mg like you thought. no effect either way. so you jump up to 2ml... its 4mg instead of 2mg. you might be feeling something. jump to 3ml... now it's 6mg instead of 3mg, you'll probably feel something there.

the most responsible way to dose a largely unknown chemical like this is to start low and work up over several attempts anyway, even if you know exactly how much chemical you have to begin with.

i know some people would say the method from two paragraphs up would be irresponsible, but think about it... people do something similar with blotter all the time. no one knows exactly what the mass of LSD (or whatever else) is on their blotters. so they start with one hit or maybe half a hit and work from there. you have to re-titrate with each batch, but that's fine.

just to clarify, I do not think, nor was I suggesting that he may have DOB or any DOx for that matter, but merely providing examples of drugs that could be problematic if you took alot more than 1-3mg your first time.

oh and I know it gets redundant, but if you can afford rc's like 2C-P, you can afford a scale, your life is worth the 30-50 bucks

Sorry if this is unhelpful, but please get a scale. 2C-P is not forgiving in terms of dose, it needs to measured with a high degree of accuracy. You cannot safely use this substance without a scale.
