Bluelighter
Have used mushrooms 5 times, LSD once, DMT once, smoke marijuana every day, and use ecstasy average two-three times a month but hadn't in 2 weeks. I weigh about 130 lbs, was running low on sleep, and had eaten a lot of food around 7pm. Setting was mostly my dorm room with 5 close friends tripping and another non-tripping friend for a while.
10:15pm - Drop about 18mg powder 2c-i in a capsule, along with five friends. While waiting for the comeup, my boyfriend and I made a hot-air balloon Light Bright (the black board with holes for colored pegs, lit from behind...going back to childhood here) which was awesome later.
12:00am - Start getting alternately really hot, then really cold. Feeling very tired from lack of sleep over the weekend.
12:45am - Beginning to think that the trip will consist of constant change between hot and cold, and then sleep. Not feeling effects besides this, while my friends are. Should mention that I ate a lot on this day. Five of us leave for a friend's house, with a sober driver.
1:15am - I'm pretty sure that my friend's room, which was decorated with insane posters, tapestries, and black light and had The Doors movie on the TV, as well as bong rips, helped me come up. While in the room, after the smoking session, I started to feel "weird", sort of like a mushroom comeup (sorry, that is really the best I can do to describe.) Visually I started noticing changes in the light of the room, it would get brighter and darker, and Bob Marley (tapestry) started to move and turn different colors.
2:00am - Session finished, we stayed, talked, and smoked cigarettes for a while. Hearing was not altered at all, and visuals stayed the same, with special sensitivity to light and shadow.
2:30am - Back at my dorm, I start tripping hard. The change from my friend's dark room to light, and the car ride, seemed to diminish my trip. Signing my boyfriend in at the front desk, the desk attendant's face looked real fucked up, but the actual action was no problem. Once in my room the visuals got better--everything was shifting. Letters looked like they were moving around on the computer screen and posters, people in photographs appeared to be shifting against the background, and actual faces were kind of creepy, like the eyes, nose and mouth were moving around slightly on the face. Light colors (such as faces and my walls) took on various colors, changing from green to blue-ish, with a hue like the spots you see after you stare at the sun for too long.
2:50am - Others who had taken it also started tripping hard while we were gone, and we met up and went to my room. We tried to make forts (y'know, old fashioned bed-and-blanket forts) but failed. Instead we put on music and stared at the hot-air balloon Light Bright. I highly suggest everyone get a Light Bright. Lights! and colors! Crazy! We joked about how we were watching it like TV, only it was more entertaining. We could even 'change the channel' by turning it on its side or upside-down. With my eyes out of focus, the entire picture would move sort of within itself.. the different colors winding between each other.
3:45am - The visuals didn't change much for me for the rest of the night. We listened to Shpongle (my friend, tripping, said that one of the songs was "brainfucking" her and could we please turn it off, heh) and to Sigur Ros, and looked at various pictures online, like Magic Eyes (the patterns that have a picture within them if you let your eyes go out of focus) and just cool-looking shit like fractals and colorful patterns. The Internet was unnecessarily hard to navigate (two of my friends kept getting "lost" on one page and were completely stuck in the same area of the site for a really long time.) Tension in neck and back became more noticeable and massages were great.
4:30am - I think for the most part I had the best visuals where there was a slight contrast of light and shadows that could create pictures, scenes, and patterns. I got really awesome visuals off of my friend's orange shirt. Another friend saw his own face in my hanging american flag. Everyone found that doing things wasn't really necessary, nor did we even want to. I don't remember much talking at this point either. Sitting staring at the walls was very, very awesome, and that's what we did.
5:30am - Coming down, normal functioning has returned and I can brush my teeth, get ready for bed, and attempt to sleep.
6:30-7am - Manage to fall asleep. No visuals with eyes closed, and no speedy effects - couldn't sleep for a while mostly because of the painful tension in my neck.
All in all it was a fun experience with friends, with visuals that were pretty crazy and overwhelming at some points but no emotional/mental involvement whatsoever. Different especially from mushrooms in that way, and even from acid I got more mental effects (thinking about the ways of the world, the order of everything, etc. didn't happen with 2c-i). However, the other two girls who did it in the group got a slight mindfuck which might have been because of the overwhelming visuals rather than an effect of the drug. In other reports and information about it, some people got MDMA-like effects, but no one I was with, myself included, felt this. I would attribute it to tolerance, since I don't seem to get as much of an ecstasy-feeling even from ecstasy itself that I used to, but my friends who do it much less often didn't feel such effects either. Great, strong visuals - nothing else.
Most negative aspect - neck, back, and sometimes face tension. Everyone in the group was feeling it -- not a centralized tension like when you grind your jaw or clench a muscle, but more of an overall, general tension throughout all the muscles, sometimes to the point of a burning sensation, even when the body's in a relaxed position. This sucked. Also my left eye twitched and felt swollen, and I am almost sureit was puffy and slightly swollen during the peak. However it was gone by the time I wasn't tripping and could be absolutely certain.
This is my first trip report and I'd like comments about what was good about it, what sucked, how well I described the experience, etc. And other thoughts about 2c-i, of course.
