2c-i LD50???

Holy shit. I didn't find the answer, did he indeed go to the hospital?
I don't get how he only peaked for 3 hours and then came down unless he got his stomach pumped with charcoal or something.

It almost seems humanly impossible to start snorting a one gram line of 2c-i and then actually finish it. That stuff is like pure fire up there!
 
I have not ingested an entire gram at a time; but i have insufflated a large amount of 2ci. It was probably a 1/4 gram over the course of a few hours. I thought that was a large amount anyway. It burned like a sumbitch in my nose but each line got me way higher. I will never repeat such a trip but i think it was fun. The hallucinations consisted mainly of my brain melting. Oddly, i usually feel best on about a 16 mg dose and usually feel overstimulated on more than that. I was somehow able to deal with the stimulation that day.
 
Im calling bullshit.

I hear 2c-i is worse than 2c-b up the nose.

10mg of 2c-b had me in so much pain that i wanted to puke, and I consider myself a masochist. It felt like what you would imagine snorting draino would feel like.

A gram is 100 times that amount....

Your friend might have bumped a little bit until feeling the pain and then stopping.

I mean, even if you mistook it for shitty coke, you wouldn't just go and do a gram all in one huge go.

That being said, i heard a story of someone who apparently ate a tablespoon of 2c-e in some momentary lapse of reason.... 7 days of puking, and tripping too hard to be functional, also he thought he was dead a number of times....

He survived though.

I would say its very high, but a gram might do it to someone, or at least enough to go to the hospital to sedate you and monitor your vitals.
 
i think its actually very possible to get a gram up the nose if you're quick enough

2c-e (and my guess b) is very blunt with its burn, it hits you like a brick and then goes away relatively quickly. for me, 2c-i was a weird sinister bastard to snort, i literally wouldn't even feel the powder until about 5-10 minutes and then it was this persistent awful burn (accompanied by the most disgusting drip ever, of course) for about 15 minutes at least. but there's def that window...

But lets say you do a bump of it, just a small one is still pretty massive but <50mg....

That pain is going to hit a person and the first thing they think is "Lets do 950mg more of this"?

My first thought was to get my head under the facet to try and wash some of the shit out of my nasal passage...
 
well, my point was that i've insufflated 20mg + lines before and they simply DONT hurt until about 5 minutes in. if you put it all up there quickly... i don't see how it'd be unreasonable

keep in mind also that the op said the intention of his friend was to off himself. so i doubt the nasal pain was much of an issue.

There is no such thing as a human LD50 unless you're going through data from Nazi germany or imperialist Japan from WWII. It was a joke. In any case, there have been numerous fairly large overdoses with 2c-i (and 2c-e and 2c-b), none of which have let to fatalities as far as I know.
 
Christ, can you imagine the PAIN! Couple mg's had me in agony for a few minutes, never again.

A GRAM up the NOSE.... The large font for OUCH aint big enough!

Hope your mates okay, I s'pose there could be some follow up liver/kidney issues, not to mention his poor nostril & his psyche!

I would agree with this for the reason stated and because he was not tripping longer... Its true YMMV but it seems unlikely he snorted the stated amount (I think around, oh say, 500 mg or so even a man with a death wish would toss in the towel). Not that Id think a gram would kill you, or that the person the OP was talking about didnt snort a ton, but in the interest of the most accurate information exagerations should be left out.

Or maybe he was telling the truth about his dose and Im just an asshole :p

Also know that your friend went through what must have been hell....

Or maybe the sheer agony of it was enough to cause the most massive dopamine response in the brain and got him higher.

But imagine, you blow through a gram of 2c-i, and that is a fuckton of 2c-i and then your in ridiculous unimaginable amounts of pain, and then your tripping unimaginably hard, probably puking horrendously, your face is on fire.... Everything is spinning, nothing makes sense..... Your nose is probably bleeding, All you hear is buzzing, you might not be able to see....

In the first 15 minutes of it, its kind of surprising his throat didn't close up in response.
