2c-i: Iodine, Thyroid, Free Radicals?

I have had some extensive experience with 2c-e and other psychedelics, almost none with 2c-i. I actually was a heavy user of 2c-e at one point, probably once a week or so, at first taking doses around 18-21mg but then, having my ass kicked week after week (and kind of liking it), and having long-lasting after-effects, I started taking less, but I realized I was still tripping harder! That is, 12mg of 2c-e was just as strong as 20mg used to be (reverse tolerance? seems unlikely, but my first acid trip was also very mild, and i took the next hit on the strip next week, and BAM! it was like a different chemical, and lsd also, the more I take it, the more I "notice" the effects). With 2c-e this became too much though, my trips became so ridiculous at mild-moderate doses like 12mg (orally, always) that I was too weirded out to keep taking it. For example, faces coming out of everything, an octupus breaking through the wall-turned-aquarium, a lady imbedded in my carpet, spinning, spirits running across the page as I attempt to write..... etc etc.

This insane psychedelia (I prefer a more subtle, emotional experience like 4-ho-dipt personally, even lsd... but I find 2ce and lsd to be fairly similar despite being in different chemical classes) became too much, and the after-effects lasted months. I was having visuals forever.

BUT, besides the point.

I hear 2c-i can cause much worse problems. Is it true that Iodine (yes, its in salt, but...) is not used in any medication, while all other halogens besides are? Can 2c-i really cause thyroid problems? Anything documented?

Yah man, free those radicals.
And Mendela. And V-Nasty.
And love.

Uhh.. Um.. I took 2C-I a ton, and I don't think I have encountered said problemos..
But I'm not Dr. Oz, so..

I mean some sort of semi-empirical info. Or someone who knows about the iodine in detail and its metabolism and effect on the human body?

These concerns are unfounded: that iodine will remain attached to the phenyl group come hell or high water, and thus will not have any of the properties associated with elemental iodine or ionic salts of iodine.
