2c i and 5 meo dalt

^^ Although performing such tests should be easy, learn how to do it correctly. Like, what is correct sample/reagent ratio. I would recommend to try them first on already identified chemicals, if you have them.

I have watched some videos. From what I see a small sample od the sample is put on a slide or dish. A single drop,,in one case two were dropped on top of sample. Results were then observed. On one forum someone talked about mixing the two together with a toothpick or end of a tweezer after the reagent was dropped on the chemical...but I only saw this mixing method mentioned that one time so probably won't do that.

I will check my current 2c I first before testing the unknowns.

Follow-up. I appreciate all of your suggestions.
The reagent kits were worth the money. Turns out that the 2c-i was 2c-i. The results were pretty obvious. And the results from my current stash of 2c-i matched the substance I received from this supplier.

The 5 meo-dalt ..that was another story...on both the Marquis and Mecke tests it turned dark brown immediately. I really didnt investigate further.

I was pretty pissed. Shot off what I assumed would be a futile e-mail to supplier.. To my surprise I got a decent response. Would not refund my money but offered to send me another 2g's of 2c-i. Who knows if or when that will get here..either way I will never order from this supplier again. In the end I suppose that he ...like a lot of folks in his position ... are middlemen and are dependent on those who supply them...I'd just rather not be the victim of either.

Had a happy fun time testing the rest of my stuff...Everything is what it is supposed to be.
Happy me...

For those who are wondering...the kit was pretty inexpensive..under 50 bucks with shipping and it's worth the peace of mind. I wish I had known that this was available to me earlier on in my "career." Would have saved me a lot of worries about first time purchases.

Again..thanks to all who replied..and thanks to the moderators who let this thread stand.
