2C-E Scheduled?

Hello, I've noticed that on Erowid and Wikipedia 2C-E is listed as a Schedule I drug in the US as of July 2012. However I couldn't find it listed as such on the DEA's website. Am I missing something or is Erowid simply misinformed?

Yes. It, along with others such as 2c-P and 2c-I have been scheduled.

Isomer Design is the site I use as a reference, and it does look like most JWH and 2c compounds are now banned. Item 36 onwards.

I believe the DEA issued a statement after the deaths in Minnesota allegedly caused by 2C-E received media attention which said that 2C-E was already illegal because it was considered to be a positional isomer of DOM.

^ this is true. 2c-e & all the other commonly available ones were specifically scheduled this past July as well. They were banned along with a bunch of cannabinoids & cathinone type stimulants as well, attached it as a rider to some FDA bill. I forget the name of the bill, but I'm sure Googling something about an "RC ban" should yield that info.

To be honest, I'm personally glad these synthetic cannabinoids are being banned. As for the 2c's, I don't necessarily agree with them being banned. Though they are obviously dangerous substances for an ignorant person to be handling.

Congress introduced a bill in March of 2011 that took away a lot of the fun drugs, including most of the available Synth Cannabinoids, the 2C series, the ----ylones and so on. I tracked that thing to death, watched it like a child as it went through the steps to being passed. I kept thinking that if only September comes around we'll be good, since after that there is the recess before the new Congress and at that point everything is dead on the spot. But alas, the senate bill was introduced and passed, they were tweaked a little bit more, and it passed finally in July 2012. Sad/happy day since it's never good when drugs go illegal but at the same time we can just laugh inside and know that there are tons more legal, and tons more that will hit the market soon enough.
