2C-E: One Dead and ten hospitalized.

It's over in Drugs In The Media too, horrible news.

This stuff (and probably the other 2C's that aren't already scheduled) will most likely get scheduled via the emergency route.

Expect another version of Operation Web Tryp :(

Its a shame, really is.
People NEED TO KNOW what they are puting in their body before they do it.
 
I like how the sneak in "2c-I" as the drug responsible when it clearly says the article is about 2c-e.... Fucking pricks want to nab both for one POSSIBLE death. We must hold judgement until an autopsy is done, for all we know this was a blood clot or high blood pressure sufferer who couldn't handle the cardiac stimulation. If this is the case the same kind of result could come from an adderall overdose..

:/ fuckin shame.
 
Are they 100% certain that this was due to 2C-E and not in fact some other 2C-x? I've known people who have taken ridiculous quantities of both 2C-I and 2C-E (accidental gram dosages respectively) with no risk to physical health in the slightest, both times the experience was aborted at the E.R. I've also known many people who have taken extremely high doses of both 2C-I and 2C-E for recreational purposes (250mg+) with no ill-effects.

I am dubious.

I've heard of incidents where substances such as 2C-P and 2C-E have been received instead of another 2C-x compound, and if such was the case or if a 2C-T-x substance was received in it's place, such an error would be fatal.

Edit: The article on Wiki indicates many people overdosed on this drug. Again, this raises questions as to the nature of their "overdose" and if anything, the health of the victim who died.

Unless they ordered a stimulant instead and got 2C-E by mistake and did huge doses?

Seems a bit strange but I guess it is possible, the one that died may have been sensitive or allergic, or other underlying health conditions.
 
Very sad news, but not much info on this yet :(

My thoughts are with the family & friends of the youngster who has died & with those who are unwell.
 
Likely miss-labeled product. Also likely irresponsible use. I met someone not long ago that was slanging 2C-E talking it up as "synthetic mushrooms". After pressing him he admitted it was 2C-E. I wanted to take his shit and flush it right there, it made me furious.

Another web-tryp is only matter of time, and while it still won't shut the market down completely, we will still feel the pain. Of course I've been saying that for years being the pessimist I am.
 
I don't understand this irresponsibility, surely the same people should never have touched a knife in their life times either.
 
i've known people that've done +100mgs of 2c-e & been fine. I'd imagine there was a problem with their source or they did something really, really stupid. Still sad to hear about though
 
Depending on the scale of media demonizing and if there will be populistic politicians who use this in their advantage to gain support, it just might be that a bunch of people who don't understand at all will try to get it scheduled. They don't know and they don't want to know. They just don't want 'it' to happen again and don't realize that repressing does not help. Something that should be evident by now but is another thing they don't want to know. It's so sad.

And how do the posters above me know individuals who do 100+ mg of the drugs?

What goes through someones head when they take this much chemical when a strong eye melting dose is 20mg?

But I mean jesus these kids are freaking retarded for doing that much 2c-e. why? what were they thinking?

the only shitty situation would be if like someone else above said that they ordered some type of stimulant and recieved this instead... in which case their source should be revealed to save everyone else from such a fate.
 
You read they were like 16-19 years old right? Plenty of teenagers want to test their boundaries, see how far they can go. And they act more on impulse than after wise consideration, especially at parties.
My guess is they didn't want to go read up on the users manual that is spread half across the internet, they 'wanted to see what would happen', is what I think.

I certainly would never recommend anyone dose that high, never gone much above 25mg myself, and don't really see a need to.

I'm unsure as to whether this will lead to scheduling, but it certainly doesn't bode well for the online scene. The crises in the mid-east & japan may well keep it from getting much, or any airtime on national news though. Ridiculous how much impact things have on society is more a reflection of the intricacies & vagaries of the news-cycle than anything else :\

In this case i wouldn't be terribly surprised if there were multiple substances involved. Though i'm sure 2c-e will get the blame since its already in the headline :\
 
Fucking dumb ass kids. How many people O.D. on alcohol or legal prescription drugs EVERY DAY? Sounds like they were cutting up big lines of 2c-e like they thought it was coke or something. I don't know HOW you can take enough 2c-e to kill on purpose unless you are really, really stupid. Maybe they were eyeballing dose and had NO IDEA what 10mg looks like and somehow thought "lines" more than "bumps". Clearly there is some pronounced idiocy at work here. Now the cooperate owned media will jump on the bandwagon of prohibition while pushing booze and pharms every 15 minutes during the commercial break. This shit makes me fucking sick. They are capitalizing off a tragic and clearly isolated event.
