2C-E experiences

Has anyone here had an experience with the research chemical 2C-E?

What was the dose, the effects, the comedown? Would you try it again?

Please do not turn this into a "Which is you favorite Research chemical" thread. I am only interested inexperiences with 2C-E.

Mods, I know this thread is better placed in the Psychedelic Drugs forum, I have read a few posts there and I am interested to hear from Australians.
 
I don't see why an Australian citizens opinion is any different to the discussion in Psychedelic Drugs where they have many 2C-E threads, The Big and Dandy 2C-E thread being 7 pages to date. There is a much greater knowledge in that forum regarding research chemicals, better than anything you could get here, and any aussies would be active in those forums anyway.

Also interested to know how many Aussies have tried it. Why aren't reserch chems as popular here as they are in the US?
 
Well Shorza, for now I am glad that they are not as popular here then they are in the US. But believe me, they have grown greatly in popularity in the last few years.

Australia has traditionally been behind countries such as the US and UK regarding emerging drug use patterns, however this gap has been closed by years since the widespread adoption of the internet. That being said it is only a matter of time before they spread to people who have no idea what they are taking, what dose it they have, let alone have an accurate balance capable of weighing such materials. We can only hope that these kinds of substances do not reach people in unmeasured multiple dose quantities, however it seems it is inevitable.

Shorza - I've tried 2C-E once @ 18mg. I had an explosive session of vomiting and then very uncomfortalbe nausea for about an hour, after this the experience rapidly developed into an extreme level of eye-candy. I was able to push the experience towards the positive, but it definately didn't gravitate that way naturally. Not what I would call recreational - it took a lot of energy, and it was a thorough work-out for the mind and body. Very "heavy".

If (when;)) I try this again.. I will lower the dosage.

PS: Make sure you have at least +/-2mg accurate scales for measuring out this or any other "Research Chemical".

Glad to hear you could turn the experience around. 18mg is a fairly high dose, what were your reasons for this?

I think if i ever try 2C-E, it will be at half that dose.
 
For any initial test, I usually dose in the middle of PIHKAL or TIHKAL's dose range (although I'm rapidly rethinking this strategy) . It says 10-25, so 17.5 is the middle. It wasn't until today that I saw that ppl on BL had had pleasent experiences with as low as 4mg!!!
 
Erowid recommends a lower common dose then what Shulgin does:
Oral 2C-E Dosages

Threshold 2 - 5 mg
Light 5 - 10 mg
Common 10 - 15 mg
Strong 15 - 20 mg
Heavy 20 - 25 mg

This is from a 2C-E entry in PiHKAL, with the subject only taking 16mg.
There was a strange devil-angel pairing. As I was being told of the ecstatic white-light ascent of my partner into the God-space of an out-of-body experience, I was fighting my way out of a brown ooze. She saw the young Jesus at the bottom of a ladder drifting upwards step by step to some taking-off place, and I saw all the funny gargoyles around the base of the ladder surrounded by picnic bunting. For me it was the 4th of July, rather than Easter!

Rosencavelier, you must be fairly experienced with psychoactive drugs for an 18mg trip not to blow your brain apart. Then again, i haven't tried this drug, so i'm just guessing. Thanks again for your comments.
 
I have experimented with a fair variety of substances, but I'm definitely not a guru yet. Also remember that a substance can treat two people completely differently. I assure you that the 18mg experience was very far from easy, and I certainly wouldn't recommend it to inexperienced travellers.

Heh.. I hadn't even looked through erowid (other than for online PIHKAL - which I always check). I thought the general consensus was that Shulgin tended to underestimate dosages - but I will certainly be looking for more info and starting in the lower spectrum of dosages for any new substances I come across.

As an indication of how I found the 18mg experience: I will probably try 10mg next time.
