Yes, it is the same benadryl. From my experiences 25mg will work perfectly for any dose up to 20mg 2c-e, then the nasua returns. On my 30mg 2c-e trips 50mg completely eliminates the nasua. I have not really experienced any sedation from the benadryl, obviously it does effect some people but i cant see that 25-50mg will kill your trip for you.

When I used 25mg benadryl with 20mg 2C-E it didnt cause any sleepiness, only seemed to moderate the normal phenethylamine "speedy" effect. Which might be what you would call "sedation", but in this case it is welcome, and unlike the report above, the 2c-e's natural stimulation more than prevented me from feeling any drowsiness. And for most, benadryl's sleep-inducing effect is not persistent... if used as a sleep aid, it doesnt seem to work if you dont fall asleep in the first 45mins or so, then it wears off. Again, for MOST people. I can see how it make make some sensitive persons drowsy for longer periods.
Contrary to any "killing" of the trip, I had the distinct sensation that it had somehow AMPLIFIED aspects of the trip... tracers and euphoria mainly, and it seemed to transform the heavy 2c-e "load" into an actually pleasant flowing/floaty sensation. Those were WAY stronger than expected (nice!) as compared to a previous 15mg 2c-e trip without the benadryl... I know 2c-e can get stronger exponentially as doses rise, but I've had ALOT of experience with phens, and I was pretty convinced some pharmacological aspect of the benadryl felt like it was responsible for some kind of "boost" I was was feeling... It seemed distinctly different than 15mg 2c-e times a magnification factor due to higher dose, but essentially different, and better, in some way. This would not surprise me at all, as benadryl was the original prototype for a Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor, before Prozac and other advanced SSRIs were developed. And it has a number of other brain-potent pharm effects... look it up at Wikipedia for a pretty extensive and fascinating article on this complex and multifaceted drug.
But I never did any experimental comparisons, not really wanting to experience any stronger discomfort than the only barely tolerable body load I felt on 15mg 2c-e without it. Makes me wonder what effects it might have the entire spectrum of psychedelics, especially other 2C's, especially 2C-I. Well, some day perhaps.
