2c-e and the movies?

ive never done 2c-e before but have done many other psychedelics MANY many times. just wondering how 2c-e would be to go see a movie at a theater?? thinking about going to see tim burtons new movie 9. also how is it to drink on? im first and formost a drinker and almost always acompanied my trips with alot of beers.

Hi, Pat - welcome to PD and BL in general

Although many eschew the idea of films + psyches, I've enjoyed watching films on 2C-E but I wouldn't recommend dosing before going to the cinema on it - especially if you're unfamiliar with 2C-E cos it's a potent bugger and not the "easiest" of psyches. I'd think it could be pretty uncomfortable in such a situation and probably wouldn't do it myself even with some experience. Watching a good film at home would be a better option if you want to watch a film at all - cinema sounds a but ambitious to me

Drinking is fine on it if you like to mix booze with your psyches. I do and have consumed alcohol on every 2C-E trip I've had, I think. I find it helps with the jitters that 2C-E can cause a fair few of.

Also, check out the trippin' videos thread for some great films to watch tripping - Tim Burton sounds like it could be a winner but maybe not in public on your first 2C-E trip. I'd recommend just learning the lie of that land with the stuff with nothing planned to get a feel for it first

wow that was a very detailed response! maybe ill take your advice and try this out at home with my girl and a case of beer and see where it goes from there.

also i love to get a alcohol buzz prior to dosing cause it always takes away those jitters and if you are kinda drunk you forget you took it and all the sudden it hits you. best way to go in my opinion.

I have gone to the cinema on 2c-e numerous times and most of them were great fun... I even saw 1408 in theaters on about 22mg... now that was fucking intense... and had the person who was going to come pick me up not bailed, it would have been great... instead, I got to play out in the rain for 4 hours...

I am very familiar with 2c-e, though... if you aren't taking more than 20mg and you have a sober driver to take you home.... I'd say it would be a fine idea... if one of those conditions isn't true... stay at home.

what would be your best advice on using 2c-e. what would be some fun things to do? i just got some and never used it and am excited to try it out. usually i would wait for a perfect opportunity with a music festival cause there is a place by my house that has them all the time. but my connection is about to move overseas to teach and i gotta see if i like it to see if i want some more before he goes! so im kinda forced to try it out this weekend.

My best advice would be to read The B&D 2C-E Thread and to check out the trip reports here (in the trip reports forum) and also Erowid. If you click on the linky here to the PD Guide you'll find a whole host of threads full of useful and enlightening tips, thoughts, opinions, descriptions and advice on 2C-E and just about every other psyche there is

I would also mention that 2C-E is probably one of the least "fun" 2Cs as it's more along introspective, analytical, "deep" lines than most of the others and is not inherently euphoric like the rest. I find it kinda euphoric sometimes but it's famously "neutral" and it makes you do a fair amount of the work. That's not to say it can't be fun cos it can, but it's a whole different kettle of fish to 2C-B, D, I and so on.
