As a first note: I am not a native speaker of English - so I keep it short in order to avoid too many mistakes... and: it’s my first trip report on bluelight!!
I had my very first experience with 2c-e last Friday – alone in my apartment. Just love tripping on my own... I am experienced with psychedelics like LSD, shrooms, salvia, mdma and 2c-i.
At 7pm I took around 14mg (+-2mg) in a capsule. Hadn’t eaten for 6 hours. At 8 pm I was still feeling absolutely nothing. First alerts at 8:30 pm: a warm feeling in my stomach and face. Then I started to feel kind of seasick – a really strange feeling. And everything felt neutral to me – no happiness, no sadness. Somehow I didn’t know what to do, because I just felt VERY uncomftable. The come up was really tough and unpleasant and I was freezing the whole time.
Then I realized that there was far to much light in my room: a couple of candles, a lava-lamp and a spaceprojector. So I blew out the candles which made it much better.
At 9 pm I still felt a bit sick and bit confused what to do next. I missed the euphoria I usually get from 2c-i. The OEVs were not very intense – like a light mushroom trip. The CEVs were ok, a bit like acid but less colorful. Walking felt strange, but somehow funny - like bouncing. I went to the bathroom and looked in the mirror and could see some patterns moving on my face. But I had to concentrate on it. And I still had that neutral feeling towards everything. So far I was a bit disappointed – 2c-I in comparison seemed much more interesting to me. I sat down in my living room again, starting to think about god and the universe. The insights were deep, but it was like thinking about an engine of a car – just neutral.
At 10 pm I decided to smoke some really good weed. That was the best thing to do!! Now it really became psychedelic! I put on a cd I mixed a couple of days ago. It starts with a recording called Symphonies of the Planets. Ever heard of that? It’s a recording of the Voyager I&II probes of electromagnetic waves, flares… Made by the NASA in the 70s. This stuff is amazing. It really sounds like the music of god. On that night I was listening to a recording of the Jupiter moon Io. And with closed eyes I suddenly became Io. I was torn into pieces by the gravity of Jupiter and put together again. I could experience how it must be to fly over the surface of Io… That was followed by some tracks of Sphongle, Saafi Brothers, Infected Mushroom and Hallucinogen. That was just incredible!! I had to get up from my bed and dance, then I leaned against a wall and melted together with it. I was in the middle of a gigantic machine that was driven by music. And that music was 3D, floating from everywhere and creating these really crazy machine like images in my head. And I could change that flow with the speed of my breathing. But I still felt like an observer because of that neutral and technical feeling. Al in all that was the best part of my trip – thanks to the weed! I never encountered a dark side, but I also never encountered a really bright side…
At around 12:30 am I became hungry and ate a bretzel and drank some Coca Cola – both tasted very delicious. The comedown was very smooth, no headache or other problems. I watched the Simpsons for some time and went to bed at 3 am. The next day I felt fine with a nice afterglow.
Conclusion:
It is very hard to judge that experience. I missed the great body buzz and euphoria from 2c-i. The come up was very unpleasant. And it came in waves: one moment I was really tripping, the other moment I felt sober. On the other hand I never had that chemical feeling that I tend to have with 2c.i. After smoking weed the CEVs were incredible. Less colorful than acid, but still impressive. Sound was enhanced too a lot. My mind always felt very clear, which I prefere over the sometimes confused mind on LSD.
There was no real body-load and just some minor engeries flowing trough my body - compared to the rush of energy with 2c-i.
No, it’s not a recreational or fun drug. But my insights weren’t that deep, too – nothing compared to acid or shrooms. I will definitely try it again, but than with 16 or 18 mg.
