Around two months ago, I dissolved 500mg of 2c-d (obtained during the closing sale of a popular asian vendor that apparently had quality 2c-x's, seemed good in initial tests) in 100ml of 40% vodka stored in a small air tight mason jar. It has now turned a deep yellow color, though still smells like plain vodka. I've stored other 2c-x's in solution this way and have never seen any kind of discoloration even over a much longer period of time.
Any idea what sort of adulterant or reaction would turn 2c-d vodka yellow and if this might alter its safety profile?
