2C-B - uncomfortable feeling on right side of lower abdomen

Hi,
about half of the times i've taken 2cb, I get this really uncomfortable feeling on the right side of the abdomen, right (left if ur facing it) side of the belly button, more towards the front of the body. It's as if something (some gland?) is bloated there and as I walk and move I can feel it moving. If I do fast movements it gets VERY uncomfortable and feels harmful, because it feels like a bloated organ about to pop and release some nasty liquids in my body. Can't remember if it was only on higher doses, but anyways, does anyone else get that? or have any clue how it can be avoided, because it feels potentially harmful.

Thanks biffhenderson, from the pictures I saw on google images, the appendix is too low (but I recall it was slightly uncomfortable there as well). The cecum is more likely to be it, and it definitely looks the same way it feels when I touch it!

I don't remember this discomfort ever happening sober or while not taking 2cb orally.

The cecum can be inflammed/infected too. What you're feeling is not the appendix - it has no pain sensitivity - but instead the membrane surrounding your intestine being distended. If the lower right quadrant hurts, especially if it hurts if you put pressure on your lower left quadrant, and the pain doesn't resolve in an hour or so, you probably want to see a doc.

It may just be gas. Some people's guts seem to not tolerate certain psychedelics too well.

Yes all from the same batch, but not every trip, and I know a lot of people who took from the same batch who didn't seem to mention anything.

Seiko, now that you've mentioned it might be gas, I think it is! It definitely felt like it. I think i farted once and felt better hah.
Yes always gets resolved within the hour but last time it was so uncomfortable.

Yeah gas can be very painful, moreso than you'd imagine. As an idea I would easily shrug it off. The reality sucks though!

2C-B is known for it's enhancement of bodily sensations, so it would make sense that you would notice these things. Inflammations would not be intermittent I'd say. You would feel the pain until either it becomes too much and you call in medical assistance or your body handles it on it's own. No idea if the body is fit to deal with something like appendicitis, I guess it depends on how serious it is and if you would find that enough to actually diagnose it in the first place.

It doesn't feel to serious, at least now, when 2c-b is not in my organism. But it's making me have double thoughts about tripping next time, because it was so uncomfortable last time. Maybe because it was 40mg, highest ever. Planning on 15mg soon.

Hmmm, I have read on another(not english) forum, that some people experience pain physsically where they have some kind of damage.
For example a guy who had back pains and while taking 2-b they became stronger, or if they weren't there they would appear.

Haven't experienced it myself though..

From my understanding, appendicitis is pretty obvious once it gets to the point of being severe enough to warrant appendectomy. Like puking everywhere, crippling GI pain that doesn't resolve, "this is really fucking bad" type of stuff, not "Gee, my lower right quadrant feels tender"

yo, I know exactly what you're talking about, I had the same thing but on my left side last time I did 26mg oral but it was only on the come up.

I haven't noticed it since and i've done it at 30mg oral

it could be jsut gas, or increased sensations of an already established condition.

it almost sounds like a small hernia there... have you checked yourself recently?
in any case, if you are worried, then seek a doctor. if there is real damage, he/she will be able to tell, and it should be there regardless of wether you are sober or not.

i hope all is well! cheers!

I had a similar thing not so long ago on 100mg 5-MeO-DALT. I really thought I was about to explode. I kept telling myself it was gas though it stayed for hte entirety of the trip and a little while after.

I seem to remember passing wind and it feeling better, and pressing on it seemed to help a little but your mention of it going within an hour has me a little concerned as mine didn't. Thankfully not had anything similar since though :)

Finished the final ~15mg earlier. I really respect this substance.
Again, felt discomfort on cecum and appendix area starting from 45min to around 2.5 hrs after taking it, and uncomfortable stomach digestion. I also tend to yawn and get cramps on the area just behind my chin, haha. I wonder is the discomfort in the cecum and appendix anything to worry about though. I'm fine after sobering up from the substance.

Well there's a number of things it could be, obviously there's the possibility its psychosomatic, especially now that you're expecting it. It could be that 2c-b & your tract just don't get along too well for whatever reason. The GI tract has most of the body's 5-HT receptors so its not terribly surprising that a number of these things cause a substantial amount of people digestive issues of varying severity. And it could well be gas. 2c-b doesn't give me gas too bad, but 2c-e gives me ridiculous amounts of gas. There are some positions you can put your body in to help expel the gas, & that actually has helped me with 2c-e. Plus, farts are funny :D

call me a weirdo, but now im curious about the "positions you can put your body in to expel the gas" ... :)

I normally get the greasiest slimiest shits on 2cb, 2ce too, sometimes to the point where you need to watch yourself when you have a laughing fit that you dont shit your pants but I've never gotten pains from it. Try a different route next time, try blowing it. It greatly, greatly, magnifies the experience and it may not all get absorbed in your stomach.
