2c-b fly and the future of research chemicals

I have recently stumbled upon 2c-b fly as well as some very very new compounds. from word of mouth on other forums, i heard that there is actually a lot of research and development being done for the future of RC's in the psychedelic area such as the fly extensions of certain RC's.

Does anyone know of any of these drugs that are going to be very new to the market in the next 10 years that are being developed, synthesized or designed right now?

and more recently, which drugs have become new to the market in the past ten years? I have read that DOC only became available in the past 10 years.

There seems to be a lot of development with certain chemicals and I wonder how much farther can they push it? are there areas that are yet to be explored? From my perspective, It seemed like Shulgin had developed all that was possible.
 
oooh, what an exciting topic!

i remember at some point recently there was a thread involving an entirely new psychedelic, but it somehow got lost in the storm. i'd love to see that again while NOT ++ tripping on 2C-T-21
 
my 1cent: What Shulgin developed is merely a small portion of what is possible. I dont know the correct numbers but it is estimated that the number of RCs will rise at least tenfold in the next couple years.
 
I hope some awesome new drugs are made. Wish I was a chemist.

I hope some sort of drug comes out that is a mixture of the empathy/energy of MDMA along with a nice tripped out feeling like shrooms.
 
I've heard MMDA-4 may become available, and some of Nichols' phens were highly highly potent, in the low ug range. Unfortunately, analogue acts are still going to render most of these illegal. It seems that cathinone is a favored substrate to work with for some reason.... Theres a lotof ethnobotanically minded folk who are exploring the essentil oils etc. of known 'active' plants, so who knows what will be discovered. One thing I suspect will be a less-addictivem anxiolytic drug...

This is exactly why genuine R&D for new RC’s is going to remain an internet discussion topic at best. IMO the closest we are going to get to a “new” RC is a compound already on the books but not widely available, if at all. Since some of the fly compounds were not received “with open arms” a couple years back I doubt there are many out there looking to to drop the loot for a custom synthesis of another unknown.
 
I think p/tihkal have a pretty good spectrum of psychedelic effects, sure there are still lots of unexplored variations that are interesting IMO in terms of understanding how they function. Apart from that i dont think anything that can be made by tweaking these sorts of molecules has much value apart from novelty.

For example some non-neurotoxic mdma analog would be nice but i doubt theres an amphetamine variant that can do that.

The 2,4,6-substituted phens in pihkal don't sound too exciting, sure theres loads of them just i expect them all to be inferior to the 2,4,5's, same for 2,3,5's etc.

Would love to try nichols cyclobutane 2cb thing but again i doubt it really does anything to be worth the hassle.
 
Fly compounds will help expand the possibilities by quite a bit. Also hemifly, dragonfly and hemidragonfly compounds... the hemi-fly and hemi-dragonfly options are almost totally unexplored still.

The DALT family of tryptamines is brand new (DALT, 5-MeO-DALT, 4-AcO-DALT etc.)
And I'm sure there are plenty other of tryptamine subfamilies that haven't been explored yet.

It should be possible to make various halogenated tryptamines, 4-bromo-DMT etc. This will have to be explored more soon.

And of course everyone's still talking about 4-Ho-5-MeO-DMT.
 
hehe i know what it is, i meant its something ive always imagined to be "wildly visual". would love to try it.

Edit: willow, what are you referring to when you say some of nichols phens were active in the low ug range? just wondering if ive missed another one. the most potent i know of being eaten is bromodragonfly, most potent in theory i think is the benzocyclobutane 2cb thing.

well, IMO THC derivatives (and what about the LSD ones) are really overlooked too. CP55490 etc...i think should be a bigger deal. maybe it is smoking the weed that makes it fun and a good time to socialize. "lets smoke a blunt" instead of lets all eat this synthetic thc analogue drug on paper!

what about in the DOxx family that has not been mentioned?

Are there active chemists who are actually involved in developing new phenethylamines, tryptamines and the like? I mean the psychoactive list is already in the hundreds, but it seems we may only be at the beginning of modern drugs.

Think about what my generation (born in the 80's and early 90's) kids are going to be doing in 2030. they say there is a new drug compound appealing to the masses every other decade. could it be a research chemical?
 
Yes, all our consciousnesses are so expanded that they're bursting all over the place.

Yet I have yet to see a single 'discovery', from hundreds of trip reports & other 'research' which isn't just reiteration of pantheism or some vague thing resembling musings of a Ionian philosopher (say Anaximander) from cca. 600BC.
