Anybody have experience with this? My roommate is supposedly getting a sample of it but I've never heard of it, looks interesting to say the least...

I was just curious whether or not it's legit due to the only info available through Google was the very sparse wikipedia entry.

I have learned that the type of substitution paterns that create psychedelic compounds on the phenethylamine skeleton do nothing for the piperazine skeleton. There have been several 2c-skeleton piperazine analog compounds on the market in the past and all were duds. Dont get your hopes too high, but of course, do let us know how it goes if you do end up sampling it.

I sampled this compound a while back. Its a plain stimulant nothing psychedelic that i could discern. Think i sampled to 150mg before my samle ran out. It did give me a headache, it was very much like bzp. I know it was what it was advertised as, well it was from somewhere respected is what i mean.

Most of the piperazines are crap.
I've tried BZP, TFMPP, mCPP, MeOPP, pFPP and most recently MDBZP.
The only ones I like are BZP and TFMPP. MDBZP is the worst, it gave me muscle tremors, minor surface fractals, headache and nausea for 2 days (dose = 500mg HCl salt). mad_scientist_ off here ended up in hospital because of it (i'm sure he won't mind me mentioning this given that it's been mentioned on this board elsewhere). DEFINITELY stay away from that one!
My advice is to stay away. The SAR doesn't carry over from the PEA's at all.

Points well received, thanks much for the replies!
What I was wondering about was the synergy between BZP and TFMPP, do you think it would exist between TFMPP and this substance, or is this just a week long migraine waiting to happen?

hospital froma piperazine...?what sorta dose did mad_scientist consume???
do you have a link to mad_scientist report....?

Yeah i must admit to being dumb enough to take 1200mg of MDBZP and get rushed to hospital after collapsing and having convulsions...

In my defence though i would point out that several other people in our circle had taken 1000mg of TFMPP, 1000mg mCPP, 1000mg pFPP previously with no such adverse reaction, i had personally taken 1000mg of BZP myself and known people to take 4000mg of BZP without having convulsions, and so i didn't anticipate that MDBZP would be any more dangerous than the other piperazine analogues...you live and learn ay!

I'm surprised that 2,5-diMeO-4-Br-BZP is even active but if slopoke got it from a reputable source then i will accept the reported stimulant effects as valid...when i was working for the party pills company in NZ we looked into getting 2,5-diMeO-4-Br-phenylpiperazine but the price they were offering for a kg was far too high so we ended up getting methylone instead which was way better than any crappy piperazine!

The one piperazine i did try that i quite liked was 2-BZP, the isomer with the benzyl group attached adjacent to the nitrogen. Quite different from any of the normal analogues with the aryl ring attached to the nitrogen directly, it was fairly trippy and euphoric and with much less side effects than the other piperazines. So if i was ever going to suggest new piperazine analogues in the future i would definately go for derivatives of 2-BZP rather than the 1-BZP or 1-phenylpiperazine derivatives that are currently sold.

Proceed with caution is all I can say.

A part of me wants to try MDBZP (despite my horrible experience with it) with BZP to see whether the DA+NE releasing properties of BZP go well with the MDBZP (which I suspect might be selective for SErT, while also being a weak 5-HTx agonist) - it might be like IAP how it's crap and dysphoric by itself - but another part of me says NO NOT THAT TERRIBLE CHEM AGAIN! *shrug*

Yeah, the structure fits more closely to the PEA's then.

Stick with the known piperazines. The others are pretty fucked. I have tried heaps of different ones and have just gotten sick off them. Just because something works with amphetamine doesnt mean it will work with piperazines.

what about 1-(4-bromo-2,5-dimethoxyPHENYL)-piperazine ? ? ?

I know the length between the aromatic ring and the nitrogen atom is the same for phenylpiperazine and phenethylamine.

our engineers tried to synth the 3,4 methylenedioxy phenyl piperazine but it wouldn't hold together so they eventually made the MDBZP instead

I would have thought MDBZP stood for methylenedioxy BZP. Am I missing something?

Anyone care to draw the structure?

edit: the MD on the phenyl group, right? putting it on the piperazine wouldn't seem to fit...

the benzene ring of the benzyl- part yeah
not technically a phenyl group as otherwise it'd be phenylmethylpiperazine.

Why would anyone be interested in these compounds when they obviously have no relation to MDMA or 2C-B?

because they are similar enough sounding to be marketed to the gullable?
because they are legal?
because the legal highs providers cannot be bothered to do some decent research?

There is nothing to see here, move along.

MattPsy/starboy: Thanks for your responses. Don't know why I fudged the benzyl/phenyl thing, but thanks for clearing it up for me.
And yeah, both of those look like crap. Like someone said before (or many have said) throw a methylenedioxy group on any old trash and someone will buy it.
