25X-NBOMe X-APB and X-APDB to be covered by UK temporary ban.

But it's weird, they've ignored that swirly one for ages and also a load of fairly straight stims. I'd like to understand their true reasoning, cos it doesn't make much sense, even twisted government sense.

The problem here is that I can forsee no replacement for the APB's, it was the last great figurehead of the RC scene....

^^ Yeah that's an interesting point especially as 5-IT has been added to the list. Even more so as it's been mentioned in reports with pill deaths a few times the past year, along with 5-IT. But with the string being squeezed on the scene, there really is not going to be much left to ban which is actually worth banning. Unless a whole new batch of chemical derivatives come about from this ban then it doesn't really look promising.

5-IT in my opinion was a ticking time-bomb - a fat soluble isomer of AMT which was rather dirty around the edges...I'll pass on that. However, APB was actually good, a chemical that offered a genuine alternative to MDA. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to stick with my 3.5g, as I cannot afford to purchase anymore prior to the ban coming into force. More to the point, whats rather concerning is many of the 'over-seas' suppliers that I used in the past suddenly stopped shipping to the UK in light of this new temp ban...The only thing left for me to get after the ban would be 6-APDB, although I would have to pay top dollar for it! :(

haha its not all bad 5g od 6-apb for £60, it was £35 for 1g yesterday :D

I can see "replacements" for the APBs (what, there are no other aromatic rings out there? Nonsense); the question is how practical the chemistry is, whether the changes are worthwhile, etc.

At this time, the squeeze on RCs has reduced the worthwhile ones in the commercial marketplace in many countries to the less-popular tryptamines. The APBs are still legal in most countries, the "Benzo Fury" marketing brought unwelcome attention to that compound I'm afraid.

It will be interesting to see what RCs actually hang around after the bans in the underground marketplace.

It'll also be interesting to see how the black market responds to the opportunities a vanishing grey market presents. Wait a minute, that's what you said :| Anyway I know I for one will be venturing down new roads soon enough if the banning continues at this rate. Although the presence of offshore sources does mitigate that quite a bit.

There are going to be lots of vendors left with a lot of stock of pellets unless they get slashing the prices.

£2 each on my usual stockists website. My other supplier has not moved his prices at all

The solution would be for users to get politically active, like seriously active. Drug users are the least vocal minority out there, religious and sexual minorities that might even have a lower representation don't just stay quiet and take abuse from the government. Seriously it's time to speak out and make them listen to us.

Well, the first thing to do would be to get organised, the government won't listen to a load of disgruntled individuals (unless they happen to be rich, fund-contributing individuals) but they might listen to a movement that makes its point loudly and clearly. Although even then it's unlikely, look at the anti-war movement.

Spoilt for choice at the moment really. With limited funds it's difficult to decide on what to get. Haven't tried 5-MAPB is it all that different from 5-APB or even 6?

^^^I thought the mix pellets were really good actually. For some reason they were better than mixing the 2 powders together. Maybe there was some small amount of stim added in them, who knows, but they weren't as mongy. Felt better too I would say. Great deal on 25 going on. Too much choice lol

What needs to happen is some high ranking support with financial backing. Then they need to find a newspaper who don't promote lies and give fair assessment.

This may venture into speculation territory, but from what I can see, there don't seem to be many remaining aromatc rings which appear viable in terms of mass-producing a new research-chemical. The benzofuran ring was a pretty good step, as from a molecular point of view, the similarity to MDA meant that we were in for an enjoyable experience of sorts. However, as seen with all the n-methyl'd 4-MAR 'Serotoni' bollocks, any replacement for the APB's is likely to be some dirty, cardiotoxic mess....

This is a great idea but such a movement should exclude irresponsible dug users. For example, it wouldn't bode well for the cause if some of the people advocating drug liberation are on methadone. Articulate, successful people who enjoy chemical adventures on occasion(high-days and holiday as it were) are the ideal candidates to represent such a movement...

What would really help is having a symphathetic billionaire, like a druggie Murdoch. Have a news network that spread balanced scientific opinion and the issue is tackled, through media you can change people's perspectives really easily. I should become rich enough to open my own satellite news channel and buy a few newspapers.

This sort of prejudice exemplifies the problem, not the solution. How the hell can you tell that someone is irresponsible because they're on methadone? It's a prescription drug for the treatment of an addiction. We're pretty tolerant on this forum but this sort of shite is not on so quit it please.

Apart from that, welcome to Bluelight ;)

George Soros' Open society foundation puts a fair bit of money into SSDP and youthrise, probably others too.
