25mg hydroxyzine, dxm, guasifenesin for high

Im a noob. I have had half a delsym bottle once and thats it. i just took 25 of hydroxyzine. i heard that it intensifys other drugs. please tell me what i should pair it with and if the idea in the title is a good idea. pardon my spelling and lack of grammer.

Delsym has a few different formulas. Don't take the one with guaifenesin, that can make you vomit if you exceed the recommended dose.

If you're looking for ways to potentiate DXM I suggest using google or the search engine at the top of the screen. Guaifenessin won't potentiate DXM and is an emetic in high doses so it can cause people to feel sick and nauseous. Since hydroxyzine is a P450 inhibitor it should in theory potentiate DXM, though at such low doses I'm not sure it will do too much (at least not enough that you would be able to notice a lot more from a smaller dose). Still though I wouldn't recommend going over 100mgs as high doses of antihistamines are very unpleasant.

I'm gonna link you to some threads where DXM potentiation is discussed, it seems that the most efficient (or at least the most popular) potentiator is white grapefruit juice though I would spend time researching the safety of that method before thinking of trying it. Enzyme inhibitors seem to do funky things with DXM. Since we don't allow "what should I take" threads and there's plenty of info on the subject of DXM potentiation I'm gonna close this though. To answer your question in a nutshell, yes you should be fine taking hydroxyzine with DXM (and if you must, guaifenessin).
