250 mg of Adderall

So, recently, I've taken Adderall for the first time. It was 30 mg.
I have been told that if you take a higher dosage, the effects can be similar to rolling.
I was thinking about taking 250 mg of Adderall.
Is that too much?
 
Yes!
Try something like 45mg next, 60mg would be pushing it IMO. If you don't die from 250mg I can tell you for sure it won't be fun and nothing like rolling.

See, that's what I thought.
My friend insiiiists he took a super high dosage like that when he first started taking Adderall, but I didn't think he did, or that it'd be safe.
 
I did ~160mg of XR once. It was fun for the first 24 hours, but not being able to sleep for the next 72 was not fun at all. Bad hallucinations.
 
Yea I think the most I ever took was about 120 mgs spread throughout the day, and as everyone else mentioned, it sucked.
 
Yep, that's way too much...30mg XR in the early afternoon orally followed by about 20mg more IR blown throughout the day...I was up for way too long and that was unpleasant, especially if you aren't experienced with it I definitely wouldn't take a dose that high.
 
Im prescribed 60mg (30mg IR twice daily). My tolerance is pretty high. I will usually take between 60mg-90mg orally and/or snorting. once in a while i will push it and go to 120mg..... sometimes i can manage 120mg with no side effects other times it sucks really bad. some people can manage to take 250mg if they have a high tolerance and possibly suffer badly from narcolepsy. I barely even get euphoria or the speedy feeling from adderall anymore...... 250mg makes me sick to my stomach when i think of it.

i have a history of drug abuse and high tolerance for alot of drugs once i use it a handful of times. i want to tell my doctor to up my dose cuz i need atleast 45mg to be effective but im afraid he might tell me he isnt gunna give me a new script
 
I understand DExadrine is different salt and a different "high" than adderall, and I'm not dicksizing as I try to be a responsible user, but at the end of a six month 900mg monthly IV dexadrine usage, I had a big tolerance and one day I was in a psychosis, so I decided to inject 300mg of dex. I was so disorganized that I injected 300mg of dex without really filtering it through a bunch of cottons. It hardly evened fazed me. I had a suicide attempt a week later with 900mg abilify. And then a mild stroke a few days later that left me fucked up for about a year. And my psyche pulled my dexadrine and klonopin script.
Oh yea, it was the dex capsules w/ the lil' beads.
 
^^ yeah Dex is subjectively "cleaner" than Add as it lacks the L Amp.
I know exactly what your talking about Dexedrine spansules or Halloween pills as we sometimes called em.
Black & Clear with orange beads or generic ones we often referred to as Pepsi for some odd reason.
Well they were clear & brownish but I think the main reasoning would be that we could be at work call a friend & ask em to bring
some Pepsi down to work without it sounding suspicious.
Oh the memories... but I digress I'm past that now.
Back when I had a bad Dex habit (Oral) I would average around 200mg plus or minus 50mg over the course of a day.
Note I did not start at those kind of doses it took a few years to get up to those kind of doses being a daily thing.
Now that I'm older & wiser I would never subject myself to that again. :\
Now as for harm reduction as opposed to dick sizing.
The reasoning for posting this would be that my habit ended when I began to have daily seizure's to go along with my Dexedrine doses...
After quitting said habit due to said seizures I had wonderful side effects that took years to go away.
For example teeth grinding in my sleep that was loud enough to wake my gf up.
That particular effect lasted approximately 3-4 years after D-Amp cessation.
Anyways there's my 2 cents on the matter; being that 250mg is way to much.
As for your friend; well his story of taking & "enjoying" that high a dose without a tolerance... 8)

Off Topic Warning: To beagleboy or someone with similar experiences do you find now that you have a reversed tolerance to amps?
I find that since I had the seizures & such & gave up the habit, nowadays (approx 5 years later) I can take tiny amp doses with great effect.
Not just no tolerance level doses even lower.
For example I can feel mild to moderate effects off of a 3.75mg dose with 7.5mg's likely being enough for an all nighter.
Anyone else with a similar Amp history notice they now have a reversed tolerance to Amps?

I figure I'll try to sneak my question in as I don't feel it warrants it's own thread.
 
If you want to shoot for a high dose try around the 90mg mark, You will be tweaked as fuuuuuck, 90 mg was the highest dose i did as a beginner and its more than enough.

The 90 mg experience wasnt all smooth sailing either, i had a major panic attack halfway through and wasnt prepared for the comedown at all, so proceed with caution.

Oh and if you are looking for effects similar to rolling, prepare to be severely dissapointed. Unless all your X pills have been heavily cut with speed, in which case you might think they are similar.

Reverse tolerance. Thats a pretty good way to put it. I havent had a chance to use any amp's since july 2007. I imagine what you say about no/lower tolerence after stopping/lowering use has some truth to it. I think that Amphetamine Ninja was describing something simular in 2007 or 2008.
 
^Yea, I was trying to repeat what you were saying. I guess it came out wrong.
Amphetamine Ninja said that he was taking "2.5mg". I cant really remember his history of use. Maybe he'll show up to comment on this! I did'nt really believe him, thought I was misunderstanding his reply. But, thats the truth I guess.
Next time I get some meth/amp its gonna be on. Figure I'll try the sane mans route and enjoy myself.
I'm just curious as to the reasoning behind this occurrence.

I'm going to try to keep on topic and come back w/ some info on "what the effects can be from taking large amounts of adderall" as posted by th OP.
 
As far as me, I think that dose would make my heart explode. Amazingly , it is possible to take any amounrt when you are tolerant to it, it doesnt sound like you're a heavy user though, so I would stay far away from that dose.
