Hey endlessnameless! Thanks for replying. I'm glad someone can relate to my story and can live to tell their success from the other side. I would greatly appreciate any advice on using the meds that I have to detox in a more comfortable way. It sounds like everyone has said the detox is the easiest part and staying away after detoxing is the hard part. I'm worried if this is the easy part and its so difficult for me to get through then how hard will the other end of it be?
That sounds awful to detox from H from codeine and benzos. But it gives me hope that if you were able to using those from H that I should be able to from a lortab habit. I look forward to reading your taper plan/general method you mentioned. I appreciate the encouragement and am trying to stay positive and not worry too much about it. I'm sure my addiction withdrawal is nothing compared to many. I'm thankful for not being in a much worse situation than I am in. It's good to be reminded that things could be worse and can get worse.
I have been trying considerably to drop my dose and spread out the times in between but I've been feeling terrible so some additional advice is greatly needed and would be appreciated. I've had the idea to take my large dose and cut it down to a normal 10mg along with .25mg of xanax or somthing or even switch to the promethazine/codeine with the xanax. Something in combination to drop the lortab down instead of relying on the lortab alone to take the withdrawal away. The codeine is in the form of a syrup unfortunately so I don't' have the option to just take the codeine.
I will keep checking in and look forward to hearing your insight into getting clean. Thanks again!!!
