230mg of Diaz, what happened?

Hi,

Basically, I just want some insight into what happened to me last night.

At around 8pm I was drinking 50ml baileys and did a small bump of methoxetamine. Put on some TV and did a dose of just under 15mg of 4-Aco-DMT.

Hour in, feeling the effects of the Aco, quite content and chilled listening to music and had a few chats on the phone. Very light visuals.

About 10.30 ish I make myself a White Russian drink and go back to chillin' in my room with music, the Aco still giving some mild visuals and body vibrations and making me feel a little sleepy, closing my eyes and kinda drifting off and such.

Around 12, I call my boyfriend, we have a brief chat and I decide I'm going to sleep. So, considering I was on the Aco still at the time, with a few mild visuals, I took 5x 10mg diazepam tablets to get me to sleep and it normally would have done.

1am, I'm not feeling the effects at all when I usually wouldve done and I'm still getting a few trippy colours. So, I take 3 tablets bringing it up to 80mg of diaz. At this point my body temperature has risen and I see red patches on my arms, legs and abdomin. I ignored it and went back to trying to sleep.

2.30am. I'm still feel wide awake, tossing and turning, feeling too hot so I open a window which help a little. Not tripping at this point. So I get up drink a glass of water and take an 2mg alprazolam to calm me down (I was feeling anxious at this point), and I smoke a bit of a spliff to relax me which it did. Curled back up in bed to sleep.

Around 4am. Still not sleeping and feeling wide awake so I take 80mg diaz just to try and knock myself out and sleep, I was desperate at this point. So by this point total diaz taken is 210mg, plus the 2mg alprazolam. Again my body temp increases and my skin feels like its burning and I'm getting visible red patches on my skin, along with a sense of feeling out of breath, I had to take deep breaths. Again I ignore it. I get up to get another class of water and I'm very unsteady on my feet and having to hold on to walls; very light headed.

After all this I felt I should have been asleep or knocked out at this point. Backdrop, 30-50mg of diaz would usually send me straight to sleep.

6.30am. Things seemed to have calmed down, I hadn't slept at all in the hours previous and and so took 20mg of diaz again and fell straight to sleep, with none of the body temp increases or anything. Slept all day, and feel fine apart from being slightly prone to dropping things and waking up with a headache.

So total diaz taken is 230mg. I should've been knocked out and sleeping with 80mg of diazepam, even considering the 4-aco-dmt which actually makes me relaxed and a little sleepy. I feel like I shouldn't have been wide awake.

Just to confirm, it was that final 20mg dose of diaz at 6.30am which helped me get off to sleep.

So I'd just like some insight into what happened. thanks.

Bollocks. Don't reprimand people on the basis of false (and widely known) knowledge, it makes you look silly.

OP in your post it was unclear whether you'd already tried the diazepam + DMT combination before. Have you?
If not, certain drugs can massively raise your tolerance to benzodiazepines. I remember when I overdid modafinil, trying to get to sleep 20 hours later I ended up taking somewhere around 150mg of valium. So it's not that uncommon.

Good post.

I can attest that the effects you felt was indeed an OD from Diazapam. When a friend of mine was getting kilos of Diazapam from a certian website that shall remain nameless I remember doing lines of it like it was coke. Similar things happened to me where I felt kinda speedy/anxious, unable to sleep and moving around a lot but being -really- unstable and an almost falling over drunk feeling, followed by about 12-15 hours of straight sleep.

Definetily an overdose.

Don't take that much again please, it's just a bad idea. I crashed a very nice car because of taking too much pharmicutical grade Diazapam, amongst other tragedies.

yeah like others said.. dangerous.
unless of course you have a massive tolerance but i doubt a dr would let someone's tolerance get that high before tapering them off..
don't do it again and you'll be fine.

Considering the highest dose of diazepam is 10mg pills im not sure anyone could justify to a doctor taking 23 pills at a time. That's just blatant abuse and I imagine the doc would pull yer pills immediately and leave you to suffer.

As I said in my original post, there's no reason to take that much diazapam, for your own safety please don't. I knew of people doing really really crazy things when they would ingest high doses of diazapam, and none of it would be what any rational human being could consider 'fun'.

You had a paradoxial reaction to it. I've tryed knocking my self out before and gotten stimulated instead. Your body just wasn't reacting right to the medication.

What happened is that you should kiss the ground and thank your lucky stars you are still alive... It would be smart to titrate off the benzodiazepines after an incident like that. Keyword is titrate because of dangerous WD effects if you stop em all at once. Best of luck, it appears you have it.

@pontifex01
On this combination before, it's never happened and significantly lower doses have sent me to sleep in the past.

@Mora Fiend
It's good to have an input in what it was that happened. I'm definately not taking this amount again. The insane amount was, like I said, to try and get me to sleep or knocked out and none of my initial doses were working.

Thanks to everyone for the input :)
I know I should have stopped taking the diaz after the initial 50mg did nothing even though it should, and normally would have done, even with the Aco still in effect. And just to add, the day after, I felt perfectly fine, as if I hadn't taken any benzos the night before.
