21 hight blood pressure

Heya all i hope im doing this right my 1st time writing on hera and just singed up im on two types of medication after having my second child 4 months ago naw i suffer with high blood pressure. They said it was high sometimes befor had my child didnt put me on anything they want me to stay on meds all my life i find it so scary i am on contraception the rod that just making me bleed constant as only can have surton controseption as my pills anyone on hera suffer same as me ?put me off having more kids and pireods ent grate

I'm sorry for delay in response. How are you doing now? I unfortunately have too low bp due to some thyroid issues. I do relate about having to be on meds the rest of one's life. I have to take them 'til I die for replacement therapies.

I also have high blood pressure. I am on amlodipine 5 mgs and triamterene 37.5 mgs/ hctz 25 mgs that they just started a week ago. My bp was around 220/140 when they started it. Now it's like 160/115. My youngest is 18 now so it's been along time but I had problems when I was pregnant too. Eclampsia is no joke. What does your Dr say about having more kids? And if you have other health issues such as smoking, or being overweight it can really compound the danger and your at much higher risk for things like stroke. Good luck @Katiebby
