20mg hydro 5 hours after 1mg alprazolam

if i take 20mg hydro 5-6 hours after taking 1mg alprazolam will i feel the euphoria effects from the hydro? i have heard that alprazolam cancels out the effects of opiates.

Alprazolam has a short enough half-life that it should be mostly worn off by then.

alprazolam does not cancel out the effects of opiates. but mixing opiates and alprazolam does cause more reparatory depression than either alone, and therefore is recognized as a dangerous combination. just because you can no longer feel the alprazolam does not mean it's no longer in your system; at 5-6 hours after, it is still in your system. so if you decide to take the hydro, be conservative in your dosing.

alprazolam has a pretty strong synergy with opiates. As hydrouazicaine stated, it can lead to strong respiratory depression. However, if you are tolerant to both it can be very enjoyable.

If you are not tolerant to both, then don't mix them, it can kill you.

It all depends on the person. Personally, I take 1-2mg of alp (my recreational dose is 4-6mg, low tolerance but still a HUGE dose for most,) and a few tylenol about 15 mins before I IV any moderate dose of oxycodone, and it slightly increases euphoria ( to a point, if I take more then a low dose it DOES seem to suppress euphoria) and takes away this massive headache I get whenever taking it. It's the only opiate I experience this with, but I will occasionally use 1mg alp to boost the effects of other opiates. But I know some people who swear benzos suppress all effects of opiates.

Long story short, it completely depends on the person.
