Interesting to note that The Gateway Pundit employs journalists who also provide articles for Russian state-owned media outlets and convicted felons (telecommunications fraud).
Now again, this could be considered evidence (since it is factually correct) but it's not proof of any Russian involvement in providing misleading, inaccurate, distorted or fake news intended to appeal to the far-right in the US.

It's influence is tiny when compared to some. Fox News seemingly being the most visited outlet. So who advertises with Fox News? Who feels that their marketing-spend is best used placing ads on that station/site?

Well banking and large drugs manufacturers, it seems. So it would be interesting to understand the rationale of these businesses. But one thing they do have in common is that they are all long-established businesses. Conservative in their brand-image and it has to be said, deep pockets when it comes to marketing.
It's all part of my 'who gains' approach to the analysis of all media. But it has been pointed out that nothing is free. When something is offered free, the viewer/reader IS the product.

Well, to paraphrase Benjamin Disraeli, they are all attempting to 'climb the greasy pole'. It's interesting that within just a few hours fact-checkers have shown almost every claim by every candidate to be false or at best disingenuous.
You have to hand it to Trump, he's shown that you can just directly lie because the vast majority of people wouldn't know if it was a lie and by the time a given statement is fact-checked, he had told more lies. It's deeply unethical BUT you can't argue that it isn't a successful tactic.
Even the ancient's Greeks knew this about politics - that's where the idiom 'the naked truth' is derived from.
'A lie can run around the world before the truth has put it's boots on' as Mark Twain correctly identified.

i tuned into the debate and it was basically 4 of the candidates shouting at each other simultaneously. so i stopped watching.

Yea the entire republican party has gone off the rails entirely. I don't even know if they believe the bullshit they spout. The democrats might be corrupt and bought by business but at least they aren't completely insane trying to do as much harm as possible

US politics is a disaster. I don't see a single candidate who possessed integrity or statecraft to be worthy of the job. I'm not singling out either of the main parties either.

Just saw some weird anti Trump ad on tv.
"With Trump on the ballot, it will help Biden win!"
It was oddly obfuscated and neutral as to which side actually sponsored the ad, I didn't have time to read the fine print for who paid for it. I guess it's a Republican ad? It was both anti trump and anti biden. Smelled like a Democrat ad sewing more voter chaos.

I stumbled on the 'Republican Voters Against Trump' site. I did check WHOIS and it's been around for a while BUT I can find no E-mail addresses associated with that domain. Also ALL the data is hosted on a related site. No E-mail addresses associated with that site either,
So as best I can tell, it's not a popup site. Interesting to see all the videos that represent 'average' Republican supporters. I mean, I guess they know their demographic.

So in other news Donald Trump said he would step aside from being a candidate. He does not want his legal trouble to affect the greater cause for the American people and wants only the best for people. So he will step down and let someone else run.......................

Trump would never drop out. His totally self serving fantasy that if he is elected president he can wave a magic want and get rid of all his legal troubles. He is doing it under the silly guise that he is doing it for the American people. He is how the term confidence man came about. Totally self serving and people falling for it. Including giving money. But we have seen people be taken hostage in groups before. Jonestown, Heavens Gate, etc... There has to be a whole psychology to it.
